Doesn't Sydney's contract with D.Bradshaw expire at the end of this season? They might have a bit of extra, unallocated money to throw Kennedy's way, if necessary.

Anyway, pick up the WA Sunday Times at the airport and there is a short paragraph re: the above and bringing Rich back west and how effective he would be in the middle with NicNat rucking to him.
In that case, I suggest that we table the following trade suggestion:

Naitanui for Rich! :D

Kennedy would be a massive signing and would be the key for our midfield to become top 4. At the moment we have holes everywhere in the team but if we nab kennedy he would complete our midfield and let us draft a kpp exclusively in the 1st round for the next 10 years. I'd be throwing $900k at him and our 1st and compo pick.

I wouldn't be playing overs for Kennedy is an ok player but that's only because he suits Sydney's style of play would look at NDS and I think he's a free agent would suit our playing style better then Kennedy sorry just saw that Nicky Dal had re-signed dam

You mean like how we had a gun midfield a decade or so ago and as a result thought it was a good idea to draft a list of big men with our first round picks for six consecutive years; Brennan, Spaanderman, Wood, Clark, Leuenberger and Henderson?

But we're still drafting talls now, last year it was longer and now ppl are wanting us to get hogan or plowman we need an elite clearance player now before we think about getting someone to replace browny or our ageing kpd in a few years or we'll never progress to top 8. Once we've set up our midfield then look to replace other areas of our list its no use having a franklin and scarlett in our team when our midfield is bottom 6.

I was talking about the suggestion of recruiting key position and tall players with our first round pick for 10 years...

EDIT: Unless of course you meant that we'd draft A player in this year's draft who could be around for a decade (as opposed to how we use our first round picks in each year over the next decade).

I just wish that the boring games this week & next would hurry up & be finished...Then let the real excitement begin on 1st of October. A whole month of intrigue, drama, NFI from Barrett & Wallace; & trying to get out of work to listen to the days proceedings.

lol I'm excited for trade month and, draft day. lol outside of the regular season its my fav part.
I think that many of us have the same thoughts there CLF. There are a few of us "footy tragics" around. I can't believe how excited I got last year around midnight, when it was confirmed that Mitch Clark had signed with Melbourne...It was real euphoria! Just crazy!

yep me 2. went to Google to see what articles were out yet regarding the trade and back to bigfooty for next couple days to read the joy/relief that we weren't bent over by freo (mainly all their fans) to stick it right up em.

Exactly! I think that it was one of our own, Bucking Beads, who broke the news about Clark around midnight, on our BigFooty forum. Who knows...Maybe this year, we might get the midnight news one night, that Tippett has joined the Lions!

Rich is contracted. I hope he is a one club player
It would take quite a turn of events for him not to be. Loves it here. One of a few youngsters who I can't see leaving the club for the rest of their careers.

As for Kennedy, that would be one of the funniest football stories in history. Especially if he becomes a top 10 in the comp player with us. The first player who two clubs have been dumb enough to let go?

If I were the Swans, I'd be signing him up ASAP as pretty much the number 1 priority. Players like Jetta are all well and good, but aren't much without Kennedy in the middle getting the ball out for them.
