Probably drawing a little too much into it Pav.

The format didn't lend itself towards easy watching. Probably wasn't all that easy for every player to work into the game, especially in the heat.

Clem I though was more flashy than consistent. Burnt the ball a few times as well.

Chatley was listed as 41 for Black.

Very harsh on Grace. Worked his taller opponents under the ball a lot. Chased and tackled well.

CHATLEY did play in the game as number 41 and i wouldn't used the word fat to discribe GRACE, maybe slightly over his required skin fold but he differently got the muscle size.

not sure what game you were at Posie.
your comments pretty harsh
that game wasnt the sort of enviroment for free flowing football and players were pretty much trying to impress
not much flow at all and was around 38degrees or so
When you talk about impact for the time on the ground and the role given to play
Nick Robertson was far the best on ground
and im not easily pleased
been coaching football for many years and would agree with some other comments it is not common to see a kid 190cm and 87kg run like he does with the endurance he has
his kicking was excellent
Correct, Blake Acres was very good.
very cool under pressure
needs to work on kicking skills
Marking is good
Rucks were ok
Not earthshattering, but have good height and the correct training will see big improvement and lets face it, have seen plenty of players drafted becaues of potential.
Cody Grace may only just be 17 or still late 16
hes going to be very good
his growing may yet still be too come
not fat at all
moves well and has a strong mark and kicks very well. Cant judge a player on one outing

WEST Perth’s Nick Robertson was the stand out performer in an under 18 state squad exhibition match at Arena Joondalup on Saturday. Playing in the midfield, Robertson dominated in the short practice match that was played after a day of physical testing and interviews with AFL recruiters.

Robertson, who had an injury plagued 2012 but impressed with his attack on the ball for Western Australia in the NAB under 18 National Championships has recently spent a week training with AFL club Fremantle as an AIS-AFL Academy scholarship holder and was mentioned as a player to watch in Football Nation’s First look at the 2013 draft prospects.

Known for his excellent endurance, the 187 centimetre Robertson has increased his reputation over the 2013 pre-season with a club leading six minutes, ten seconds for West Perth in the two kilometre time trial and in January broke the ten minute barrier over three kilometres to take out the AIS-AFL Academy time trial.

Other players to impress in Saturday’s match included half-back Blake Acres, also of West Perth; Claremont ruckman Darcy Cameron and skilful bottom aged midfielder Clem Smith from Perth. Highly rated Subiaco midfielder Dom Sheed was unable to take part due to a groin injury.
