Rosa leaving would have no impact on our fortunes whatsoever.

He's lucky to have survived on an AFL list for as long as he has. One of the most minimal impact, least effective midfielders to have lasted >5 seasons for us.

A 4th round pick for Rosa would be a win for us.

We'd get laughed at if we mentioned Rosa in trade deal for those guys. We'd have more luck trying to offload Dalziell or McGinnity.

I don't mind getting a small forward or hbf with elite speed, but I'm not prepared to pay overs for Yarran.

Personally I'm pretty keen on Jarman Impey in the draft, if he could last until our 3rd round selection he would be a good get imo. Had a decent finish to the TAC cup also.

I definately see what you are saying, but I think that our priority should be on the elusive midfielder.

I can agree with you there. I was not advocating that we should trade for Yarran, just saying that I think that, as well as an elusive (and pacey !) midfielder (if such a rare beast can be found in this draft) we need a goal kicking small forward.

Yeah agreed that it is a bit of both. Dalziel i still see as depth and would keep him on the list for next year and would rather we just developed Shep into a wingman.

Rosa is a gun, he just had a injury riddled season this year. Hopefully he can get back to his best as a hard running link player next year.

That's fine, I was more responding to the Dalziell > Rosa comments.

I still personally maintain Yarran is a downgrade on Rosa and we could do better.

They're both so close to the bottom of the talent pool indistinguishability comes to mind. You can afford to have a couple of crabs in ya team but we seem to have a estuary load, looking at the Hawks last night we are so far off being able to complete with teams like them in finals I say we need a total rebuild from the ground up including putting every player on notice that they may be traded for picks.

Lets be brutally honest here, we are in it to win shit - not plod so lets get cracking.
