Our main issue is midfield, we have the ability to secure top end talent with pick 6 - that is what we should be focussing on.

If we could get top end midfield talent with a trade for Pick 6 - then sure, as it is Yarran would meet a running half back or potential small pocket role. Neither are worth downgrading Pick 6 for.

We might do it for Conca - Pick 6 & 24 for Pick 12 & 30

That way we get ready made midfield talent and the ability to double up with pick 12.

Still, without seeing him play - I like the sound of Sheed - we need some size and strength in our midfield

Agreed very much. If the rumours about Tudor are true, hopefully he can get us some Geelong/Sydney-esk gems in the draft

Do not want Yarran for a pick downgrade. Conca could be a good player for us but i dont want to lose an option on picking up a Sheed, Bontempelli or who ever is going to really help our midfield in the draft as well. Ideally i'd like to trade Waters, Priddis, Rosa or Scooter to get top ten draft picks. I'd go for the Scooter to melbourne for pick 2 if it was my decision, then i'd see if GC & GWS were keen to offload thier top ten picks for Waters & Co. That would leave us with Kerr, Shuey, Masten, Wellingham etc and possibly 3 top ten draft picks from a strong mid draft. Kerr is probably on his last legs as well, so loading up in the draft will help replace him. We can rotate Hutch, Cripps, Dalziell, Shep through wherever we need them to protect the new kids a bit if they arent fully ready first year, and then phase those guys out once the new gun mid kids are ready and whenever they are giving us more in terms of performance. We cant be sentimental about this if we wish to get back to the top and take advantage of having the good forward line and backline we have presently.

If anything I thought Dalziell only reinforced his mediocre-ness in the second half of the season. Am I the only one who noticed how much he totally ****ed up transitions when put under any physical pressure? He genuinely needs a paddock to run up and down in to look effective.

It was very obvious to me. Got rid of the ball like a hot potato if there was anyone around, is the opposite of someone like Kerr who is prepared to take the hit to get the ball out to advantage. I think he is a shocking player and should have been de-listed years ago. Noticed this coy spirit when I first saw him playing in a scratch match against Swan Districts just after he got recruited. Got the ball and got rid of it with a 1 mt hand-pass to a teammate under more pressure as quick as he could. I thought then 'don't know whether this guy is any good', and sadly later performances have confirmed this initial judgment.

Despite the high kicks, at least he is consistent lol (i.e. narrow distribution)

hahaha - love it! Every time I watch Rosa, I make a point to see if he can surprise me and have a flat kick but no way - every time it's a moon raker and by the time the ball gets to its destination, there are about 3 to one contest in opposition defence favour. I actually wouldn't mind if Rosa is traded/delisted.
