Nestor/Pospisil also ended up winning 15-13 in the fifth, giving Canada a 2-1 advantage over Italy.

Great strategic tennis by the team...especially Hewitt and Ebden yesterday. Ensuring we won the doubles in 5 yesterday and not in an easy 3 really gave Bernie the advantage today. Istomin was obviously buggered by the 2nd set. This is the kind of smarts that we'll need to get back in the world group. Here's hoping we don't draw Spain!
Yeah i don't think they took it to 5 on purpose.
Djokovic injured.
Looked painful.
Either the left ankle, knee or even both might be hurt
I wonder if the court could be a factor?
It's being played on the campus of Boise State University in their basketball arena. So perhaps a temporary court might be a factor?
Ouch indeed.
We'd have to play Hewitt and Matosevic in the singles, surely.
Also because it's on clay. Playing Tomic against Janowicz on Polish clay courts would be like sending a sheep to a slaughterhouse. Matosevic is a decent clay courter and could at least trouble Janowicz.Matosevic and Hewitt seem to play better against ball bashers like Janowicz don't they?
