No worries man.

Would you take a Pick 1, 2 or 3 for him??
Probly not mate im not saying his to good for it and so on but his the player on our list that we cant afford to loose same with boyd. if we did we would get belted by 100 points plus every single week mate. also melbourne are better off getting kids mate griffen is 26. add enougher kid to your already exciting young group it will get better for the dees soon mate its to be patient but it will be well worth it when you see toumpas and viney getting AA and domianting the game.

The saddest thing about the start to the season is we are already talking draft picks. What I always though would happen may just come to pass, that is: GCS & GWS go passed us before we even developed a mature skilled list capable of success (that is about as far off as humanly possible as it stands). By my reckoning on current progress they will have by round 1 2014 unless we have turn around & everything suddenly clicks. In saying that it'll probable only delay it 12 months.

If we had a window for success based on the time-frame of the rebuild it was going to be 2015-16. The AFL also set up the new franchise clubs with the hope they would have success at a similar time. Currently however we are nowhere near where we hoped to be & sadly I can't foresee success for quite a while now.

Draft picks isn't the answer, two years ago commentators like Sheehan were talking about us becoming a superpower of the competition.

We don't deserve high draft picks. As much as I want them & the club probably needs them we have a history of not making the of them work for us.

Just typing this has depressed me. :(

Couldnt agree more, and it is depressing to see Collingwood continue to pick kids and develop them into good player. Just look at Jamie Elliot on the weekend! if he was playing for us he would have had 3 kicks for the game!

Its not about the number of draft picks but the ability to find kids with talent and actually develop them. Something we dont do at the MFC.

It's also about the environment they come into - when we start to rise all our players will be 'improving' together.

You don't get many players (even very talented players) who can play good football in terrible sides.

Exactly, only the Gary Ablett's of the world can do this, and there you are talking about one of the best players of all time.

I said to my brother at the start of the game, when Elliot collected the ball on the wing and took it forward, that Collingwood would take him and make him better than Toumpas. Would love to see Jimmy kick 5 goals in fron of 90k, hardly an insult anymore.

Or Jarryd Blair? The guy absolutely destroyed all comers in the first quarter, and influential again with the game in the balance in the last. Not a chance the Dee's could have made him into a player.

Meanwhile, Rory Taggert is barely up to snuff playing in the two's at Casey, and the Tynan that's on our list is consistently outperformed by the Tynan that isn't!

Taggert, as my understanding goes, collected 20 possessions in a half of football (was only to play half a game due to coming back from injury)

Was told not to go full pace and just have a run
