Think the are talking J P Kennedy from the swannies....doubt there is much substance to this rumour...but then again i thought we were no chance at Roos.

Kennedy is a gun but I really think Howe can develop into something very special under Roos.

Letting Howe go would be a bad move imo. Think that that he could find a role in a Roos led team playing on a flank.

Plus, reckon he would be up there as one of the more popular players amongst the kids and one of our most popular players period. As sad as it might sound, his marking brings attention to the club.

I would be super reluctant to let Howe go. Kennedy is a gun but as above, Howe has so much potential and could really be a point of difference for us as a tall wingman/impact forward.

Unsure how I see this one as Kennedy would be a massive get, but I like many think Howe has lots of upside. However have constantly over-rated our own players and the fact he may someday be A grade screams Sylvia and that simply never happened.
This would merit serious consideration if true.

He'd be our best player so it's hard to pick one. In the event this rumour was true, the real question is what would Sydney actually agree to trade? Pick 9 and Howe ain't doing it.

Yep, likewise. Kennedy is 25 and would instantly lift our side. I like Howe and he certainly has a lot of talent, but he's more a highlight reel player than a genuine match winner at this point. He may or may not develop into an A grader, but if Sydney would agree to 9 + Howe I would do that right now.

I can't see him being on the table for any price though. Wouldn't sign Buddy at the cost of carving your first choice centre square quartet to pieces? Maybe we've signed so many staff from Sydney they've left the work experience boy in charge of list management?

That said, Howe wasn't raised as part of the original rumour so pick 9 and James Frawley could be being discussed for all we know!

If we could fast forward a year and find out whether he signs a new contract or not, I'd do it if he goes. Tough to recruit if it your best players keep leaving... better to trade.

It was a hypothetical comment intended to highlight that Howe (nor pick 9) was mentioned when the rumour was posted.

With our recent free agency losses plus Tom $cummy, if we had the slightest inkling Frawley might leave next year, I would hope we shift him off right away!
