The Herald Sun rated each club's drafting over the past 3 years. We were the only club above 8/10.

I'm still gunning for Aish & the Bontempelli media circus trick!

Think I'm leaning towards Bontempelli. He has a nice grab in those highlights and his height is swaying me.

Regardless, the club has done an excellent job in keeping important information behind closed doors. It wasn't long ago we leaked like a sieve.

I remember speaking to Fantasia two years ago and he said that was one of the issues the club was facing. They didn't know how info kept getting out. That has certainly improved ten fold in the last 12 or so months.

I was always under the impression that Mark Stevens was Superman or at least had Krytonian super hearing.

We haven't had a draft pick above 5, Gold Coast have essentially had 3 number 1 picks, and even more top 10 picks. They don't count

Ok here is my take on things, now this is just from what i have seen from reports and other views, keep in mind that Aish has been on top of my wish list for some time.

first we are looking for the best player that will be a 10 year player for US
Reports and hearsay has been that Aish interviewed poorly, so we wouldn't pick him up, don't know how true, also other reports that he would want to go back home ASAP.

as for Bonts he seems to be the kinda player who will do all in his power to be the best he can be, and just happy for the opportunity.

the thing about young talent is finding them is half the trouble, the other have is developing them, this is where we are in a better position then we have ever been, lead by macca we have some of the best people around our young players to teach them. Add our own Stand alone VFL side that is going to be a positive.

all in all i trust Macca with what he thinks is right

Saints reckon they are taking the best available at pick 3 who has great leadership qualities, maybe not Billings!?
