I have to bow to your expertise GrandBlue because I have only seen the highlights of the boys that could come our way, but to be honest there was not a lot about Aish that gets me too excited. Kelly I have a similar concern with. Anyone else feel the same ?
I think I can see why Melbourne were happy to trade away their second pick.
Taylor I agree with you , looks a beauty.
Acres, Bontemtelli, Hartung ( next Boommer Harvey ? ) Sharenberg all have a point of difference that to me will translate into good AFL players.

I am now hoping we miss on Kelly and Aish.

exactly my thoughts..

Aish has similar qualities to that of a Scott Pendlebury: Composure, Intelligence, Vision and is a great kick on both sides (even though his kicking style looks a little awkward). Sure, winning more contested ball would help his game, but even without that, I could see him having a similar career to Nick Dal Santo. Definitely worth pick 4.

Josh Kelly would give us something we're craving for as well- a guy who can deliver the killer pass into the forward line. Our team as it is has too many clearance-winning inside midfielders, not enough outside runners who can pin-point targets.

I haven't seen Kelly's video yet, but the Aish one doesn't do him justice, they missed a lot of his better moments.

Am I the only one that thinks Freeman would be absolutely perfect to top off our midfield with? Not quite as good as myself but he's up there, great skills, ridiculous speed and can win his own ball too. So much damn potential there, same with Bontempelli. Man I would absolutely love for us to downgrade pick 4 to two first rounders and take them two.

You're logged into the wrong account ;)

Freeman would be a great get for us, but pick 4 is far too much of a reach for him. I think we've missed the boat on downgrading to first rounders with Collingwood/GWS already trading theirs. By pick 9 Freeman will be gone cause I think Melbourne will take him there.

Just subscribing for all the latest info from the club, I live a very busy lifestyle so it gets hard to keep up with it all.

Yes as a deity, I spose it would difficult to keep track of everything.

I'm with you on Freeman Josh, I'd personally rather him than Kelly.

Last years under 18 games Billings was outstanding IMHO. Not sure about this years but I thought he was a class above. I have no real choice that excites me this year besides that blonde haired WA CHF and it seems way too early to pick him at 4.

This is why I want Luke Reynolds.

Unfortunately, we plan on throwing away our second round pick for a player we could get for free.

yep- i wouldn't complain for a second if we got Lewie Taylor. Kids a freak. Most dual sided player in a very dual sided draft. Only has one weakness and it's an overrated weakness. Height. Good is good and this kid is bloody good

After watching the highlights , I agree with all the guys on here that said we should have tried to down grade for 2 picks, as an example Taylor or Hartung + Acres would have been fantastic.
Probably would not have happened but for me not much separates them from 2 to 15.

Falls to us? Bontempelli will definitely be there for us to select, it really depends whether we decide to pick him. He's gone missing in games a lot, and while he has a lot of potential, there's a reason that he's not a definite top 10 pick. He's not consistent, and he plays some bad games. And at AFL level it's only going to get harder for him.

Don't trust highlights. I could probably put together a damn impressive highlights reel of Tambling.

That would be an impressive feat!

KK's kicking was amazing. Very much Gilbee like.
He is a lovely natural kick, but it looked like 80% if his kicks came from handball receives.
That's understandable being a class above his Tassie teammates, but he's not going to have it that easy next year.
What is his contested ball & spread like? Guys who watched the champs?

gee we're not a hard lot to please...we only want bloke who can run both ways, break lines with pace, use the ball with either foot with penetration and precision on the outside, have vision and poise inside the contest, kick goals, be strong overhead, play in at least 4 thirds of the ground, be accountable defensively, tackle well, AND win contested ball. oh, and he’d better be taller than average for his position.

we'd honestly turn down chris judd because he plays inside, is not a great mark, can butcher the ball and doesn't kick many goals.
