..., with the Magpies to receive White and pick six in the NAB AFL Draft, the Eagles picks 11 and 31, and the Swans pick 44....
and 49 so C'wood moves up 4 spots (8 has already been decided) and gets White for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. It looks like C'wood reckons it's in the hunt despite this year and losing Shaw.

I wouldn't pay much attention at all to knightmare's draft order. None of the people on BigFooty even have the slightest idea of who's likely to go where until maybe the day of the draft.

Surely you exclude your good self from this statement?

Agree this draft is more level than most years but I've just been reading Ben Casanelia draft prospects review from Inside Football (May 22 ed) it's amazing to go back (only 5months ago) and see the difference in opinion.

The three players that don't appear in most top 10 "Phantoms" at the moment, but are in Bens from May are;
Luke Dunston, Matt Crouch and Christian Salem. It appears these kids have slipped out of top 10s for various reason (mainly injury or poor carnivals). He still had Boyd at 1 but had Aish a clear 2nd saying he'd be 1st if Boyd wasn't there.

Keep in mind Ben Casanelia was going to eat a can of Chum if we won more than three games this year just gone.

Not the most astute of judges, I'd have thought.

Another one that is that type would be Isaiah Miller could feature there as well.
Not as sure on Cutler being a second round pick though I reckon there is more talent early than him. I'd use a third round pick on him. Sicily would be better than Cutler as a half forward seems to have a really good mark above his head with his ability to read the ball very well in the air and time his jump.

Agree on Sicily. I don't expect him to be there, but I won't be surprised if he is. He would be my first option.

Miller is a decent option, but I'd only get him if those two are gone. It's going to be an interesting draft since the talent drops after the first 25 or so picks. A lot of clubs and people will most likely have very differing views after this point.

Yeah cool.. Gee thanks for your input. I'll keep that in mind.

Geeze our boards are getting testy. People can't seem to take a joke at the moment. Damn offseason.

This board is getting antsy, because nothing is happening trade wise, we are like a bunch of soccer fans with no goals.

I do have a couple of chairs that I would like to get rid of. Maybe I'll say a riot took place and chuck them into the neighbors yard.

Lighten up, champ.

Champ?
Yay. More incisive input.. :thumbsu:
Would have been be nice to actually read people's thoughts on Dunstan, Crouch and Salem, rather than your thoughts on the journo. Because if we keep our 2nd pick from Essendon we could snare someone like this.

I would still prefer we pick up a kid with our 26 and if we pick up Crameri in the PSD or not then that is fine. We could get Conlon or Hourigan (really like him - tough fast and big kick) and they would develop with the rest of the team. Later on we could get sideshow Ben or Thorpe. I think Crameri is a good player but who are you going to drop for him? The way we are progressing our forward line will be:

Gia/Hunter Jones Campbell
Missy Biscuits Spindles

Stringer on the bench or starting if biscuits crumbles again. Dickson when missy blows a valve. Stevens and Macrae both will play some HFF (and Wing). Hrovat and Smith to play se pocket and Roberts will eventually take the spot of Williams as a swingman - just need a season biscuits!

If Campbell or Big Will goes down then Cordy may finally step up?

Sure he (Crameri) may get us a goal a week more than say Dickson or Higgins (maybe) but does he improve out long term structure? Would prefer a KPF, ruck/forward or a goal sneak.

I think your second pick is where you pick for long term need (first pick best available) after that it is a lottery.

BTW - I am a Macca devotee so if we pick Crameri I will retract everything and act like it was my idea!

Dunstan may be who the Demons are after hence why they were happy to trade down. He would be a good fit for them after not picking Ollie Wines last year.

Love the look of Zak Jones! Info on him on the AFL website today. Where does everyone rate him?

Looks Similar to Docherty in some ways, In a good way

Doesn't exactly fill a need but he's a good player. Think Daniel Cross; not the most naturally talented but makes up for it with sheer work ethic and courage. Somewhere in the 20-30 range but may go earlier.
