190cm, 81kg
Hmmm, so he is pretty tall. Interesting that he's the same height as Scharenberg but they play so differently.

I'd be happy with him, especially after hearing how well he did on the wing at the end of season.

Yep. I think he's one of the people who will probably be taken with a late pick who will transfer to AFL really well. Would be happy to pick him up.

He really seems to read the flight of the ball well, good size and is a nice kick. We could do a lot worse at 60 if he's still there.

It's gotta be Billings we take at 4 if he's available. At worse this kid is a faster Giansiracusa. At best he's Brad Johnson who pushes into the midfield more, or hell even Cotchin if he makes the transition to the midfield.

Should be my pick on the BF draft again soon for those just following for our picks. Three picks to go I think.

Who have you got in mind?

Why am I asking, it's Conlon isn't it.

His kicking is a mile better than St. Trent of Punt Road.

Centre half rehab?
All slightly cruel and poorly formed jokes aside Tommy's a really versatile player when he's out there and if this bloke's anything similar he'd be a good selection.
Centre Half Rehab, Ha!

Rebounding Key Defender (Williams) with Intercept Marking Ability (Lake), Would be a good pickup I think

Hourigan carrying that baby blubber just makes me want him more.
At 192 he is just a little short, may still grow a cm, but what beast
But more importantly, he is such a natural footballer, running patterns elite, marks well, kicks well, appears to like it physical, ooh yes The Macca's will have think about him long and hard

And if he can get rid of that tyre around his waste he will only get better
Appears to be a fine line whether he will last to our pick 40 and we maybe after a speedster at this pick
Hourigan: 192cm
Pavlich: 192cm
N. Riewoldt: 193cm

Really Keen on Hourigan, Put him in our now top notch development system Superstar in the making :D

But for mine if available I would snag him

Just the sort, in two years time, everyone is shaking their heads why they past on him. Beauty
Of course he needs to show he has the work ethic to get rid of the tyre

yep.. was a fan of hourigan since i watched him on foxtel midway through the year. Love the way he plays and leads up at the ball. Looks like a team player that knows how to get better. Wish we had a pick around the 30 margin so we could get him. Im doubtful he will be there at 42.

I love how we've made "legitimate inquiries" despite emphatically ruling him out.

JMAC could of said we weren't interested just to throw people off come draft day.

I think you might be over complicating things a little too much. If we think Aish is the better player and is going to be the better player, then take him. If we think Scharenberg will be, then take him. If we think Kolodjashnij will be then take him.

Also I don't think Kelly will be all that good personally, I'm sure he'll be a solid player but not enough to justify pick 4.

You have to take the best player....in those terms i can't split them.....

Hey mofo's, I have you guys in our phantom draft on our board and I've grabbed Aish with pick 4 and am wondering what your main needs for your next couple of picks would be?

A few that I have in the mix for pick 42 are Dwayne Wilson (plays mainly outside midfield, is very quick and highly skilled, really good run and carry, hits lots of targets on both feet, indigenous), Cameron Conlon (very similar to Vardy at Geelong- 198cm, very athletic, high marking, you're probably all familiar with him, some considered him top 10 on talent until he did his knee), Ben Brown (pretty similar to Conlon, even down to having done his knee (when he was 18), but more ready to go immediately, having played VFL this year, did really well at the combine for agility, beep test and kicking) and Nicholas Bourke (who I see got picked at 42 in your own phantom draft on here- tall "flanker" with really good athletic ability and a big left foot, could be ideally suited to running off half back).

Cheers. :thumbsu:

nice get with aish. cheers for that:thumbsu:.

also impressed that at 4:38am you were so invested in choosing our P42 correctly your board's phantom that you woke up, put on your slippers and logged in to BF to get facts straight!

as for needs at 42, you'll get about eleventy-million views here. for mine, i'm after a medium defender with a bit of poise, creative with ball use and sound decision making (ala bobby murphy).

Not sure I have the guts to take Conlon but I definitely rate him.

As for who I've got in mind...wait and see. :)
Looks like you're going to have a few nice players there to choose from Dannnnnn.
Actually a couple of guys with similar traits to a couple of guys we would be looking at with 4.

Very interested to see how you play it...

Yep, that's what I'd be after. Bourke could do that role nicely, although I'd love the outside run of Wilson too.

I would hold of on the tall guys & hope one of them lasts to 60.

I'm actually quite disappointed with the pool of players I have to choose from. Miller was one I rated quite highly here that just got taken. I have a short list of about ten players at this pick that remain and have made my choice off of that - let's hope he doesn't get taken with the next pick. The list is a combination of different types of players and while I'm a fan of a lot of them, I feel that most are probably players I'd be taking in the fourth round or rookie draft in previous years. Not a great draft any way you cut it and the difficulty I'm having with this demonstrates quite clearly why I don't particularly want to use pick 60.

I like some of the names still around in the big footy phantom draft. Vandeleur, Cutler and Sicily are names I'd be looking closely at. Interesting to see who you pick, probably none of those names lol
Two of those are on my list - Cutler I'm not a big fan of. Vandeleur is near the top, and Sicily is up there on talent but not really needs.
