So Billings could fall to the Pies maybe? If Saints take Berger, we take Aish, GC take KK. I would hate that so much. Why does it feel like the Pies are going to walk away slaying this draft...
Because Hine read it better than anybody else, as he always does. It was obvious that there was going to be sliders as the top ten were more or less even and clubs were keen to sort through the players by needs. No other club was able to take advantage of that, but Collingwood found a way to.

Biggest sliders for me in Landsburgers Phantom is Dunstan at 28 and no room for Jonathon Marsh in the top 30 at all.
Once again I think Geelong kill it with Acres at 16, I think hes the player the demons or tigers could do with.
Aish all day for me at 4.

total football I've got a few people looking into Abbott. One guy thinks there's a possibility he's being hidden. I'll let you know if I find anything out.

Anyway Marsh lasts to 42?
No chance unfortunately. Could go close to top ten if a club wants him enough. See him as a similar sort of prospect to Bontempelli in that you're taking him on flashes of brilliance rather than a large sample size of incredible football.

I'm confused that Berger isn't in the equation, her other sweet about the two SA kids going at at kilda and bulldogs must have meant that Berger might go to the saints..

Great news re Aish! Couldn't be happier if we land him. Feeling is the same as last year. So many nerves going into draft week and praying that we would get Stringer. Not as much excitement this year but I am again nervous and praying that we draft Aish!

I would be the happiest man in Melbourne if we got Aish AND Honeychurch

15. MITCH HONEYCHURCH
Damaging midfielder hits the scoreboard. The only TAC Cup player to average more than 20 disposals and two goals a game.
WE SAY: Clubs have him far lower but shapes as a value pick. Dogs keen at 42.

Bontempelli slipping to the Blues at at 13 they reckon is interesting.
Saints do well with Billings, Hartung and Gardiner too.

Only 175cm though, and I reckon we'll be going tall with our second pick, unless someone like Templeton slips through. There are better picks for us at 42.

My value bet is he will end up at the Pies.

I struggle to see how Honeychurch fits in to be completely honest. I'm not sure I like the pick, especially at 42.

I reckon the Pies will be looking to add some height and avoiding those tiny players. Almost all of their young midfielders are quite small and they've identified it as an area they want to fix. Bontempelli at 6 and Acres at 10 would go some way to correcting this, but I don't think that they'd be drafting a 175cm guy, personally.

D7, I am only going on the fact that "Honeychurch" is a Collingwood kinda name, a bit like Sidebottom - bit of tongue in cheek that was not very obvious:p

Hahaha, my bad. Sidebottom, Broomhead...Honeychurch. Yep, see your logic. :D

"Go Honey!" for Honeychurch.
"Go Darl/s!" for Darley.

Could make for some funny times in the crowd :p

I'm very confused. My source must be completely wrong.

But I won't be complaining if we take Aish or even Billings I'd be very happy with. Bontempelli just seems too much of a risk at pick 4.

How many games do you guys think aish would play next season?? Could he contribute right away?

I'd really hope so considering he's already played at SANFL level for a while now. Would still need more time to adapt to AFL, put on the weight etc but should be ok to fit in quickly

Oh and Brett Anderson reckons we will be taking Bontempelli now.

Nothing against the kid, but I really hope not at #4...

yep the more i look into Bontempelli the more i feel he's overrated based on his height

If we take Bontempelli I blame Igloo. Whichever player he says he likes at the start of the year we end up taking with our first pick.

I said Boyd first, that doesn't seem to have worked out, has it?!
But I said Billings after Boyd. So the prophecy may come true.

Bontempelli was about mid year I said I quite liked him :p
