GWS and the saints need a Sharenberg / kolo before they need a billings
I just don't get their recruiting strategy
GWS have enough midfielders
Saints have enough forwards who can play mid

The draft is not about need! Its about best player available! Especially at the top of the draft! GWS can maybe afford to reach for need but if they think Kelly is a future Bronlow medalist then they can't pass on him for a good player that fits a need. St. Kilda just need talent

I have no doubt things have changed at the Saints since Richardson was appointed coach. I've been told that the two South Australians have come right into their calculations. Richardson would have a very good handle on Sharenberg and Aish. Surely that makes sense. The answer I got before is they said they are only going to take Victorians with their first round picks. Things change quickly in this business. I think Billings will be available at 4, and we will take him. A lot of posts on here, making a lot of noise, if Saints take Aish or Scharenberg., And I think that will happen. Aish to Saints pick 3. Billings to bulldogs at pick 4.

If Billings is available at #4 I also think we will probably take him, although Bontempelli is being talked up a fair bit and linked to us by many media types.

Well emman Quayle has the saints and us looking at the same players
Billings, Sharenberg, Aish, kolo and bontempelli

IIRC you viewed Billings' weaknesses pretty much identically to how I did - think he's got a better chance of overcoming them than Bontempelli does his? Aish too?

Look since Macca has come to the club, everything we have done has been a big tick for mine and who ever we take at 4 will be another tick for mine, don't forget that the development of a player is the biggest part and we have the right people around for that.

None of us have any more than about 20% of the information available to us that dalrymple will have. And none of us know exactly where the rest of the squads at like dalrymple.

The draft chat is all just a bit of fun. No "I told you so's" please.

I wasn't really around last year, I'm just basing it off other events. Although they'll probably be monitoring them more closely during times where they know there's going to be extra activity ie. the draft, grand final, brownlow etc. and North just were North and crashed the servers by being North.

Beyond the first two or three picks, there isn't a lot of consistency as to how the experts rate the players - with some kids, you can find a discrepancy of up to 10 spots - after about pick 12, you can throw a blanket over the next 20 picks

A week ago knightmare had Bontempelli as his best player.

He rates Aish ahead of MB.

Exactly, Aish is ranked higher at the moment. But in 5 years, we must think Bontempelli will be better. We'd have to be basing this on what he will be, rather than right now what he is.

That wouldn't even be Aish. Probably Sheed, excluding Boyd of course.
