We have 5 second round picks, so we can target specific needs (inside mid) during the second round. With pick 7 I reckon we will go for the best player available, which will probable be Aish/Berg, and Sheed would be our backup if those 2 don't slip
Aish is pretty high risk and Scharenberg's injuries are a little concerning. Plus I don't really mind your back line, personally. Just think Sheed would slot in really nicely as a low risk reasonably high reward player who can add some grunt through the midfield with some additional scoring option up forward.

But yeah, if I were a Brisbane supporter I wouldn't be disappointed with any of those options. Should all slot in pretty well. Looking forward to seeing you spend all your second rounders, haha.

Yeah I'm more excited about the 2nd round than the 1st. We will control the 2nd round, will be interesting to see what we do

hey crew, got my hands on some more vision of bontempelli that isn't in the afl websites highlight video. whipped up my first video so the editing is absolutely disgraceful. Enjoy

Well after watching that I can finally see some elite qualities
Thank you
Not sure I would have him at pick 4 but those highlights certainly place him in the top 10
Nice awareness under pressure

this is the happiest moment of my life
Mine too
Thought I was going bananas
Where did you get that footage?
Some of this handball s inside packs remind me of Liberatore back in his TAC days - awesome vision and composure
Well the Aish fans better hurry up and get a better highlights package in a hurry or its bontempelli done deal

It's no wonder he got moved into the centre square after that final championships game. When i heard he was getting like 6-8 clearances a game with the vision he has i jumped all over him.

A lot of those traffic handballs are in a game where he was playing on the wing too never once started in the centre square or a stoppage.

Impressive highlight reel( but let's be honest they all are)
Wouldn't stick the house on the dogs picking him, as we are famous for last minute decisions.
He's very Jarrad Brennan like with his movement( hopefully not as lazy)
Kicks both feet which is a positive, however I'd still go Aish

On a more positive Bonts note. In relation to some of us crapping our pants (incl me) about picking a slightly speculative Bonts. I see some real Football nous on and off field with this kid who is dying to be better, something Macca would know about. Let's not forget that a few weeks ago a lot of the Pies supporters were salivating at the prospect of grabbing Bonts at 6 as the next Pendles (only 2 slots away) in a "shallow draft". There's still plenty of hope.

I think the start of this Draft Rewind video of the legendary premiership coach Allan Jeans in 1988 sums it up by saying; "I've watched him play a few times and I believe he suits our policy, I'm NOT saying he is the best player in Australia". In a small way could also be related to the Macca player policy on Bonts. http://www.afl.com.au/draftrewind

*Side note: The funny flip side of this is the quote at the end of this video from Terry Wallace in 2004 straight after drafting Tambling and Deledio " ..realistically WE believe WE got the BEST 2 players in Australia"..

God I love his handballing. Wallis and him together is going to be a pretty damn good pairing. Different players, of course, but having two players who are so offensive with their handpassing is fantastic.

Wallis doesn't handball, he throws :p

I never knew Bontempelli's handballing was that good, I'm slowly coming round to him. The clincher is the fact that he's hard working, and those guys usually carve out a solid career at the very least.

I'd be surprised as, how the hell would you compete being a 191 cm ruckman? And we used to think Wayde Skipper was too short.

Because ruckmen were shorter than they were now.
