Oh ok I thought he was really small and skinny I may have him confused with someone else though
Maybe lewis Taylor. He is small and for all his outstanding attributes I would not be willing to take a risk on a guy who is only 174cm.

I'm pretty sure Sheed is just about a foot in at west coast though

Would be disappointed if we had locked anyone in just yet, considering the draft camp and interviews etc. haven't been conducted yet.

True, but with west coast and drafting the conservative approach is most likely the one that will be taken, although I would be in no means upset with getting Sheed, my preferences would be 1. Freeman, 2. Sheed, 3. Salem

Have you guys not been paying any attention to our recruiters for the last 10 years?

Sheed is an absolute lock, he is from WA, a midfielder and a safe bet to be a good footballer.

Sure we need a Freeman or Bontempelli in our midfield mix, but we also need another quality inside mid like Sheed and can't afford to pull another brad sheppard...

Sheed with our first pick, best crumbing forward/outside mid with 2nd and 3rd and throw money at Yarran.

And what do we have to offer Carlton to get them to agree to trade yarran?

Ash Smith. But they would have to throw in a Murphy/Gibbs to get it over the line.

I think he is still contracted til next year, but things havent been going well over there for him, esp since Malthouse arrived so we need to be getting in his ear possibly for next year. But we need another quality avenue out of the back line and he would give is foot skills and speed.

Seriously don't rate freeman that highly, have seen a fair amount of him now as well as the dragons 3 times this year. Have him third on their list of mids behind Kelly and Salem.

Looks that way.

The frustrating thing about the Sheppard pick up was that I'm sure he would have been available with our second pick. And that's not in hindsight, I said it at the time... A half back flanker with above average skills and above average pace doesn't say top ten pick to me.

I'll be so pissed if they don't, or at the very least just give them an end of first rounder, not number 1.
They deserve nothing.

They have Hogan waiting in the wings. They gave up pick 3 and 13 (got hogan and 20) for Hogan and hence basically accepted a disadvantage for this season, but ultimately receive a greater advantage in 2014 as a result of that trade. How could they possibly even ask for a pick is beyond me. They willingly created and accepted that deal.

Furthermore they have had so many high draft picks and look where it has gotten them. Access to higher picks is not the problem. Fix your off field issues, get good people running the club and stop looking for freebies from the afl.

Yeah i fully agree, but if the afl does cave and give them something, it better only be like pick 18 or so, pick one is just too much.
