A key defender in the rookie draft could work well from a needs basis. Glass will only be around another year, and we'll need to develop some depth at the least. Not sure if there will be anyone worth taking though.

I'd throw a rookie selection at Aliir Aliir personally. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw his highlights video. Still raw, very much a high risk high reward proposition, but if he's on the rookie list it's less of risk with same potential reward so well worth it in my opinion! Huge scope for improvement on top of what is already an impressive prospect.

Would love us to draft Darcy Cameron with 43 or 49. Looks a gun in the making, moves so well for a big man. Would be great as a FF, very strong mark. Looks more of a more natural forward than Lycett and a better tap ruckman.

Naitanui, Cox, Lycett, Sinclair.

Why another ruckman?
More than likey we should choose a KPD but if Lobb is available he maybe worth a punt on ,very athletic and rucked well for SD's this year in his few games.
Cox has 1 year left in him I would think and I do not rate Sinclair all that much.
Swannies may have more feedback about Lobb.

11. Acres
31. Robertson
43. D.Cameron
49. Vandeluer/Kolodjashnij

RD:
- shanahan/sokol
- loo/abbott (both unlikely for their own reasons imo, but have talent no doubt)
- newman

Dylan Loo @ 43??????
Dylan LOO 24-Jun-95 181cm 72kg Western Australia/Perth/Victoria Park JFC
Medium forward/midfielder with brilliant game sense and clean hands. His vision and ability to bring others into
the game is fantastic. His excellent lateral movement allows him to step his way through traffic with ease. Can be
very dangerous when playing forward and is smart around goals. Has very good leg speed and a solid work rate.
Indigenous player.

Surely for picks 31 onwards it's purely a best available, no matter position.

Bit hard to be too choosy there and if a decent player slides, you gotta pick them.

Rookie draft will be a good opportunity to pick some specific areas KPD or the like.

Will he get drafted? Sounds like the type of player we need at HF.

unfortunately probably not.

walked out on the state 18s program at the start of the year saying he had lost passion/drive to play at the elite level. instead playing amateurs with his friends.

he made a comeback with perth colts mid way through the year and showed some good patches, but it was clear his body shape and conditioning were well below what they have been.
from what i've heard he's actually a great guy, just hangs around with the wrong type.

he went to wesley college so neng could probably say more. Loo and Dwayne Bolton used to run rings around other schools in the PSA.

Just had a look at the club list and the oldest players are by year born
1981 - Cox, Glass,
1985 - Priddis
1986 - Watter, Butler, Rosa, Lecras

Thats a lot of our defensive unit and stars we will be losing soon, we maybe looking to draft more defenders either in national or rookie draft????? hence the interest in everitt.
Sheed can replace Priddis
We have Smith, Brennan, Wilson and Carter as replacement defenders currently

You know you're old when the team veterans are a full two years younger than you :(

The most difficult thing to replace might be Glass' inspirational leadership !

To be honest, I don't think Dylan deserves a shot at AFL, he hasn't got the attitude and self-discipline for the training levels required at AFL level. He has all the skill level in the world, but not the drive. Would be happy to be proven wrong though.

Dwane Bolton on the other hand I really rate, and is a nice kid to go with it too. Watching the three guys Dylan Loo, Dwayne Bolton and Clem Smith run around on the same day was something to behold, and to be honest, at their best Dwayne could match and even better Clem with some of the stuff he could do. He was unbelievable. Not sure what happened with him in Colts this year, I saw he was in and out of the team, but I know for a fact West Coast have made inquiries about Dwayne.

I'm on the Acres bandwagon. Smart, moves so smoothly, classy, can kick, makes great decisions, very strong overhead, is quick (2.94s 20m Sprint - WA testing pre injury).

Good chance he will be around at pick 49, or even the rookie draft.

Not sure if he will be drafted. Maybe WC or Freo will give him a shot in the RD, who knows.
