Anyone have any idea why the afl website now has us taking 5 picks + 2 rookie upgrades?
Do I have to befriend a neighbour with foxtel or is the event being televised on free to air or via afl.com.au ?

If we take Cripps, then he's the best available player for Carlton. All the phantom drafts and "in the know" sources pumping up McCarthy, Bontempelli, etc. aren't representative of our rankings. Always go for the best player. If we are going to take Cripps with our first pick, and most believe he would still be there mid 20s, surely we should have traded into the mid 20s so that we could also keep pick 13.
With a little help from his friendsHe won't be the only one. Lewy, Toby and their father have been invited to the draft this week, meaning they've abandoned a plan to have Foxtel installed on the lounge room TV, and Taylor can't wait to share his biggest moment ever with them.

Reckon I would spew up if Collingwood ended up with Sharenberg and Aish.Few BF people are claiming the Freeman to Melbourne rumours are true.
If the speculation is correct, then I might lose my shit if Brisbane takes McCarthy with pick seven...
GWS - Boyd
GWS - Kelly
St.K - Billings
WBD - Bontompelli
GCS - Kolodashnij
Coll - Scharenberg
Bris - McCarthy
Norf
Mel - Freeman
Coll - Aish
WCE - Sheed
Rich - Salem
Car - Lennon
What's so bad about Cripps?
Not the worst pick...A well skilled, good moving 190cm midfielder.
I really hope we take a chance on Cameron Conlon at 51 if still available. Really think he could become anything if his body holds up. Could really fill that ruck/forward role we need
CARLTON have been closely connected to a number of players here, and the mail they received seemed to be bang-on regarding Cameron McCarthy’s likelihood destination to the Lions. Instead, the Blues will look to whoever the Tiger’s don’t pick, which is likely to be a flip of the coin between Christian Salem or Carlton supporter, Ben Lennon.
There is some conjecture over this selection, as the contingency plan for the Blues here would be Luke Dunstan, in what would be a bit of a turnaround. Blues may address a “needs basis” here, with Dunstan and take him a bit earlier, given there are 26 selections until their next pick. Several recruiters however believe that Dunstan is a second to third round selection – not that it would phase the Blues.
The Blues have also been associated with tall midfielder, Blake Acres who would prove to be a handy addition given the scope he has to play an array of positions.
Is it true that Conlon hasn't even played a game for 18 months or was the article a lie? Sure he may be talented, but aren't we sick or drafting talls who either slid in the draft through injury (Mitchell), or were oft injured while playing for us? Prefer to have select someone in the ND that we know can get on the park ASAP and actually develop, rather than stick together with tape like a mummy.
Strong bodies are good but strong minds are better. Whichever mid we get I hope they have the combination of both.
Interesting that we're now strongly linked to two players that reportedly performed somewhat poorly at Draft Camp in Lennon and Cripps.
I have us down to 5 players now. Cripps, Lennon, Salem, Dunstan and Sheed.......................which means we'll probably get someone else.

I guess this means Taylor will be a top ten pick like McCarthy.![]()

Why are we listed as having 5 live selections?
Has something changed in recent days? I must have missed it.

It's possible picks. We can opt for a larger rookie list and go 38-6Have a look the link Stamos.
Has us taking 13 39 51 67 79 with 89 & 94 set aside for the Rookie Promotions. A total of 7 selections.
Strange, because those numbers aren't just in the usual sequence. They seem somewhat definitive.

EDIT: Now it's really interesting.
