Makes me wonder if there's a chance we'll draft Cornelius etc here. I'm a little hazy about how many rookies we can play in the seniors without the unfortunate trade-off of a longterm injury. We'd expect both Scotland and Cachyia are obvious frontrunners for nom rookie spot - where would that leave our remaining four rookies?
Cornelius is about the only delisted player close to fitting the bill of ready made tall forward. I am unconvinced though as only 192cm. Good form in NEAFL but failed the test at Brisbane. Think we pass.
We may as well just send Walker forward (or McInnes/White)
Even after all of the rhetoric, it comes back to Thorp
. Young Conlon training with Northern Blues as a developmental player has merit as IMO we are 2 talls short. Then throw in a young mid type such as Lambert, or Miles from GWS. As have said before I like the credentials of undersized Ben Cavarra as well.As for who gets the nominated spots, the club, surely, would be guided by the preseason rather than them being cast in stone.
