I read about Dean Towers and was very pleased we picked him up, just love those very hard workers. Will be looking forward to his progress.

I think at the start he'll be a backup for Jetta, as so much of our game plan revolves around having a player with pace to break into the open space that we leave into our forward line. Imagine if Jets was injured or unavailable for large parts of this year, it would drastically change the way we play the game (especially without Rohan too).

He's a very different player to Lewis Jetta. He lacks the kicking skills and is probably more suited to the other half of the ground as a bigger-bodied player with decent power and a good leap. You may be right about pace being the asset that attracted Beatson, particularly given his interview before the draft where he highlighted the lack of foot speed available this year. But if he's playing in the reserves at 23 years of age it is a wasted pick, so I'd still like to know which premiership player gets dropped for him.

Just so you can get some idea, you tell me when last years Premiers played the same 22 the next season and how could you hope to know as the Horse wouldn't even know

Thank goodness you are here, I'm trying to figure out who the hell we drafted. Towers with 1st round pick? Membrey with his epic tatoo and a couple of nuffies. Who knows anything about these guys? Please let people like me who are ignorant of them know if they are any good. I cant see any of them getting a game next year. With McGlynn and Rohan coming in for Bird and ?, I cant even see Mitchell getting a game. Blowed if I know who goes out if Tippett gets a gig.

Towers and Armstrong waiting in the wings for HB Flank. Insuarance for Malcheski, I have another idea though....
 
It is guarenteed people are going to get injured during the season, players regress/improve all the time, and I reckon the 22 will be in a state of flux next year.

Not sure, he does a great job as a defensive forward week in week out. Morton may be the one to miss out.
