I rekon the 'away' game vs Richmond would be a good one. No way they would fill the ground on a Sunday twilight otherwise so it could lead to a more reasonable attendance.

Always drawn good crowds when we've played them at the G or Etihad. A Saturday night in Geelong???? Please! Good luck getting a ticket!
Well only 38,169 went to Geelong v St Kilda at Etihad this year, and with Simmonds' capacity greater than 30,000 next year i don't see a reason why Geelong should be disallowed their home ground advantage

I gave each match a W, L or 50/50 and came up with 9 wins . Bit on the pessimistic side, I'd rate us more of a 10-12 win side.

The month of rounds 18, 19, 20 and 21 will be really tough. Will define our season (assuming we're still in a position to make finals at that point) but I don't see us jagging a win.

I gotta say, while it sucks for us, I get that it would be unfair if teams like Gold Coast or Port had to play at Geelong every year. Some Victorian teams have to take the hit too, unfortunately for us, this year we were on the chopping block.

Record at Kardinia/Skilled isnt the greatest!!

Drawn: 0
Lost: 43

Yeah, I remember that last game against the Cats at Kardinia Park, a Sunday early kick-off. It was a disappointing loss and you just sensed the wheels were starting to fall off after the great start we had that year. We did have a great side then, so disappointing we couldn't go on with it.

On the 2013 draw, it is always tough to gauge how we will go looking so far into the future. We have an easy start again this year so I really think we have to take full advantage of it and start 3-0 - then take it from there. The Richmond game will be crucial early, I just wish they were still the gimme win for us that they had become in the 00's. It goes without saying in a way but we really, really need to hit the ground running this year and there are no excuses as Scotty will have had a whole pre-season with them this time around, knows his way around the club and is in his second year as a senior coach. Can't wait already.
