2013 Good Call Bad Call

Good call, possible call. .. They'll have to look into it call. .. Still don't think we do enough to tap into our interstate members. ..

Never a truer word was said. The club offers us the chance to make a glorified donation, not a Membership. If you cant attend a home game you get little bar a few trinkets. My budget cannot go that far. I purchase selected merchandise, with some of that being of questionable quality. Just think our great club could do better.

Too good. :thumbsu: Now answer my bloody question!
Yes sir! ;)
Laids' knee goes again he's in even worse trouble than Tex was with his shoulder. GC/BC?
Pessimistically hypothetical call - he'll make a full recovery.

Laidler would have been ahead of Duigs for the leadership group were it not for those knocks to the knee. GC/BC?

You would have thought so, call. Pretty bizzare decision to put duigan in the leadership group if you ask me. Don't get me wrong I think he's a bloody good player, but a few more miles on the clock would have been nice.
Gibbs to flourish under MM and show all the haters what us believers know to be true.

How can we promote 3 rookies?

Thought we had full list of 40 and only McInness on the LTI.

Is Curnow still a rookie?

Yep Curnow is a rookie. We have 38 "Senior" players and 6 "Rookies" in Bell, Curnow, Collins, Dale, R'OK and Cachia so we can promote x2 at the start of the season, one for any LTI and (I think) 1 mid way through the season (which is what everyone gets to do)

Our website has Curnow and Dale on the Senior list (as is McInnes). The Rookies on the website are Bell, ROK and Collins. Cachia is not in either list as yet.

Am i right in saying Curnow and Dale are already promoted, and we get one other for the LTI for McInnes. Then we get another nominated rookie in the mid season (but one will have to drop back on the return of McInnes)?

Website should not be believed. At the moment Curnow & Dale are definitely on the rookie list. Bell will be the initial nominated rookie & Curnow would most likely be next in line. As for how the rest of the rookie list is going to work, with the number of changes made in recent years by the AFL, it is very hard to keep up. In fact, how the whole thing works could depend on what day you are asking.

No. You would have been right if you said whoever is in charge of website maintenance is incompetent.

Our rookies are Bell, Curnow, Collins, Cachia, O'Keeffe and Dale. We know Bell has been named a nominated rookie as was announced when he signed his contract at the end of last season. No official word has come yet regarding the other nominated rookie and whether or not we'll be placing McInnes on the LTI list enabling us to upgrade a third.

We don't have the player quality to fulfill MM's defence-centric gameplan. Good call, bad call?[/quote]
Bad Call!
If we can stay injury free then a mix of the likes of Duigan, Laidler, Henderson, Jamison, Carrazzo, Tuohy, White, Watson, Armfield, Joseph (yes him) Davies, McInnes (later) & Scotland can fit MM's style required.
The problem will be trying to find out which is the "best mix" of those available from the above.
I have left out Yarran (who I think will play more wing & ball) McCarthy & Dale (who won't be ready yet)
"Good call, Bad call"
PREFERRED BACK 6......

BC

MM is a wizard. "Mick the white", we will see some new magic in our side this year.

BC - You cannot call a man a wizard and yet deny that you don't know what he'll bring to the table ;)

Andrew Walker should be a full time midfielder. GC/BC?

GC. Elite runner, strong overhead, reasonable kick. Only question mark is tackling ability, might have been because of shoulders earlier in midfield career but if he can get that right he will be an impossible matchup when resting forward. Would be a handy go-to option coming out of defence as well. May be more suited to a wing but like the idea.

One does not simply walk into Carlton.

EFA. .. and continued:

It's Navy Blue is guarded by years of history. There is a presence that does not sleep. The great masses are ever watchful. It is a club riddled with premierships, success and trust. The very air you breath is sacred. Not with ten thousand men could one take this away. It is folly to think we wont achieve No. 17.

GC/BC ?
