Wellingham is still listed as 2 weeks on the AFL site today not test. So who is to be believed?

Eagles. Multiple people from the Eagles have said that Wellers is playing WAFL reserves this week.

Never trust the AFL site for injury news.

Jeremy McGovern going in for Hip Surgery this week , McGovern wont play again this season so after three seasons on the rookie list his placement on the main list could be in jeopardy depending on his recovery in the next 10 weeks .

Has promise , I think WCE should keep McGovern on there list if possible !

Yeah i did see that in the todays paper :(.. i agree he should be kept as he a talented player and just unlucky this year.

Has shown far too much in with his small opportunites to be delisted.

At the very least he offers a tradeable commodity.

Personally I hope we keep him. I think he could be the perfect foil for Naitanui when NN is fit enough to ruck Han Solo. JM can offer a solid chop-out whilst being an effective forward

Naitanui should never be burdened with such ruck loads.

You think he should remain rucking 50%?

I don't - he should be worked up to 70% IMO with someone offering a chopout. That's a far cry from the workloads assigned to say Cox in 2010 and Sandi almost his entire career. But NN should and will (IMO) assume a time dominant ruck position.

So if that happens, we need someone who can ruck 30% and be valuable with the other 70%.

The three viable options we have are Lycett, Sinclair and McGovern. Each with their own various skillsets and shortcomings. The person to assist Nic will be the one who best complements him. We have about 18 months to find out.

Naitanui is quirky, he's a superb athlete but he's proven to have some consistent problems with soft tissue injuries, knees and back. We need someone like Cox capable of relieving Naitanui entirely of there ruck duties if need be. This gives us better flexibility to rest Naitanui forward as opposed to benching him outright for rests.

As it stands McInnes and McGovern both pinch hit, but they do it while playing true KPF or they won't get picked. Neither Lycett or Sinclair are capable of playing at the next level and will require large minutes n the ruck.

We also won't know truly how we'll cope without Cox until he's not playing for us.

They certainly are no Cox or NN, but they may come good?
