Mitch Clisby (1st year rookie)
Neville Jetta
James Magner (2nd year Rookie)

the way magner is tweeting it wont be his choice if he goes, assuming that sylvia is numero uno priority atm,
taggert youd think would stay, clisby as well i would have thought

I don't know why we are all getting so excited about Taggert. Did nothing for one and a half years, then had a few good games for Casey and all of a sudden he deserves a third year despite not breaking through yet. Even Troy Davis got a couple of token games.. But still not him?

Was badly injured in 2012 and couldn't play all year.

Who's getting over excited?

With our lack of midfielders I certainly wouldn't be delisting him yet though.

Nicho is definitely contracted for next year. Rory Taggert still waiting to hear from the club about next year.

Seemingly every poster is saying we have to keep him - hasn't earned it IMO

I havnt seen enough of him yet myself, but pretty sure I can think of others to let go first.

He's only had 2 seasons including injury - given our lack of mids I'd like to see a little more of him before deciding - but yeh, certainly not overexcited by anything to this point.

In addition to these eight (six) rookie listed players, under Player Rule 21.1.2 each Club may include up to three additional players on its Rookie List provided the player either:
has not been registered or played in an Australian Football competition for three years immediately before inclusion on the Rookie List
is an International Player, meaning he is not an Australian citizen and has not lived in Australia for a substantial period of time (note: Irish players are excepted)

Irish rookies
Irish players may be signed directly to a Club ‘s rookie list under the International Player Rule and do not have to go through the Draft. However, until now Irish players could not be listed as one of the three additional rookies under Rule 21.1.2 and had to take a spot on the main rookie list.
The rationale for distinguishing Irish players from other International Players in the past had been that Ireland is an established recruiting ground and that Irish players would deny development opportunities to other players eligible under Rule 21.1.2. Further, wealthier Clubs with existing recruiting networks in Ireland may have received too great a competitive advantage by being able to use Irish recruits as additional list spots.
The Commission has resolved that this Rule be relaxed slightly. Clubs may now list one Irish player under Player Rule 21.1.2. This will provide appropriate opportunities for Irish players and recognise the risk in their recruitment, but will not unnecessarily deny other players opportunities under Player Rule 21.1.2 or impact equalisation.

Hey Dees fans,

Haven't read the whole thread, but dont know if you guys have discussed Levi Greenwood from north much? He's as hard as a cat's head and goes all day long - he can butcher it a bit - but defo knows how to find the ball. I reckon he's just the type of player you need.

Doesn't seem to be getting much of a go at North, has alot of fans on our board, but Scott seems to be aprehensive to give him a consistent look in.

Played 6 games this year, averaging 22 touches and 5.5 tackles - including a couple of games as a sub. Got 38 touches vs the bombers.

Couldn't imagine what he'd cost, as I am confused as to how much North value him. But I think he'd provide value.

What would Melbourne offer - is your trading policy to cash in your picks or hold onto them for the draft. What type of players do you have in surplus? or picks?

Im sure behind the scenes this deal might already be being worked out, id say maybe a 3rd rounder 38-42 or maybe our 2nd (19) for greenwood and your second 2nd (26ish) not sure as to how you value him

Just what we need another player who butchers the ball to join Nicholson, Mckenzie...........I'd rather players who can get the ball and find a target.

the difference between mckenzie and nicholson and all those blokes is they only get it ten times and then they butcher it, greenwood can win the footy

So he's like Magner then?

Yeah. So we should get him, delist Magner, put Greenwood on the rookie list, and then never upgrade him or play him. [/neeld]

In all seriousness I hope we are looking at Greenwood as a trade option for a lower pick. I've always been pretty impressed about the way he goes about it when watching him play.

Does anyone reckon Magner will actually get a chance to play in the AFL now?

Seems like he could've been handy for us last year, yet we still didn't decide to play him, even when he got elevated.

I really hope Roosy sees how good he is...
