Would love to see all make their debut in the Seniors some time during the year, especially Menzel.

I think we'd all love to see them debut at senior level, but it would be unlikely that all four do so in 2013.

Graham was a certainty to feature in the senior side had he not been struck down by injury, in fact he most likely would have already played. Has unfortunately now suffered a set back and we won't see him at VFL level until the 2nd half of the season. May get a game late in the year but he's no certainty. Super impressive kid.

Menzel is playing VFL now and I feel it is only a matter of time before we see him at senior level. No need to rush him at all, and I am sure that we won't, but he's too talented to ignore for too long. At some stage he's likely to bash the door down.

Temay is quiet and unassuming and has not been talked about as much as the other two. I tipped him to have the greatest impact of the three this season but that won't eventuate. Would have to be unlikely to feature at senior level in 2013 but with Mick at the helm you'd be brave to completely rule it out.

I said a while back that Cachia was at the bottom of the pile at Carlton and the least likely to feature at senior level in 2013. That may well be the case, but he's closing the gap with some impressive performances at VFL level. Jaryd is being played as a tagger and has featured in the best players for the Northern Blues in each of their games thus far this season. Is having a real crack which is great to see, and we do have the option to elevate him to the senior list if we wish to go down that path, but I still see it as very unlikely that he'll feature at senior level in 2013.

Another milestone is to be reached tomorrow afternoon at the MCG when Jeff Garlett passes Shane Robertson to become the player who has played the most games for Carlton in jumper number 38.

Well done Jeffy. :thumbsu:

Jeff's journey only just beginning says Robbo

In March 2009, in the lead-up to the season opener against Richmond at the MCG, Shane Robertson put a call in to Jeff Garlett.
Robertson, Carlton’s 80-game club record holder in the No.38 guernsey and its only Premiership player to wear the 38 on his back, took the liberty of wishing the then 19 year-old kid the very best for his first senior game.
Fast forward to April 2013, and Robertson has again seen fit to acknowledge Garlett, on the eve of the latter’s 81st and record-breaking game in the No.38.

Three milestones this week ..........

Marc Murphy & Andrew Walker 150 games.

Heath Scotland 250 games.

Correct, and as I posted in the OP Marc will become the 4th youngest Carlton player to reach 150 games. Fantastic achievement by the skipper.

Well done to Murph, Walks and Scotty. Well deserved.

EDIT: I have also updated the OP. A bit late, however congratulations to Jaryd Cachia on debuting in round 6 against Melbourne. Jaryd becomes our 3rd debutante for season 2013 and became player 1146 to debut for the Carlton Football Club. :thumbsu:

Mick Malthouse (386 wins) needs just two victories to equal Kevin Sheedy (388 wins) and become joint second on the list of total AFL/VFL wins coached. Jock McHale sits atop the list with 466 wins.

This milestone was passed with Carlton's victory against Melbourne back in round 6.

Mick has now passed Sheedy and has now coached the second most wins by any coach in the history of AFL/VFL football.

Congratulations Mick. :thumbsu:

A couple of milestones from this afternoon's match against Port Adelaide:

The Obvious
- Heath Scotland: 250 games
- Marc Murphy: 150 games
- Andrew Walker: 150 games
- Troy Menzel: AFL debut
- Josh Bootsma: 1st AFL goal

The Not-So Obvious
- Andrew Walker: 5th player to play 150 games for Carlton in the number 1 jumper. Walker joins Stephen Silvagni (212 games), Serge Silvagni (212), Ken Hands (211) and Frank Anderson (155) in achieving this feat.

- Marc Murphy: 3rd player to play 150 games for Carlton in the number 3 jumper. Murphy joins Ken Hall (169 games) and Mike Fitzpatrick (150) in achieving this feat, and will pass Mike Fitzpatrick next week vs Brisbane to move to outright 2nd on this list.

Well done to all who achieved a milestone today. Well deserved. :thumbsu:

Also, I believe Waite needs one more goal for 200 goals.

Absolutely correct. Heading into this season, Waite needed 4 goals in 2013 to reach 200 career goals and has 3 to his name thus far in 2013.

I would suggest it is very likely that he will reach that milestone next Saturday night vs Brisbane up at the Gabba.

He won't be alone on that front, either. Having kicked 21 goals already in 2013, Jeffy needs just one goal to reach 150 career goals, and given he has kicked at least one goal in each match thus far this season, you'd have to think he'll reach that milestone next Saturday night as well.

You ****ing loco?

I know, I lowered my standards significantly there. Hopefully I'll never have to do that again, to such an extent.

Upon further research, however, it looks as though he was spot on. On Sunday afternoon, Andrew Walker did, in fact, become the 2nd indigenous player to reach 150 games for the Carlton Football Club.

Eddie was first to reach that milestone last season in round 6 against GWS.

 Jeffy only 50 goals behind Waite.

Hendo's 50th game as a Blue tomorrow, and his 100th overall next week :thumbsu:

Just a correction there. Henderson only played 15 games for Brisbane so has some time to go to reach 100 games. This of course makes his current form even more meritorious.
