waite played a lot of his career in the backline
I think that he played about a season and a half in the backline and did his knee back there and missed basically a season because of it. Then, once again, he got rushed back into the side and has had injury issues since then.

A career conversion rate of almost 67% is pretty handy I would have thought.
I have seen him miss a lot of easy ones over the years MSR which should of been converted, some that should be close to the 95%/100% mark.

67% sounds like a fair return but ones like he missed on the weekend have been a frequent occurance throughout his career and should be kicked 100% of the time.

He has kicked 2 out of every 3 scoring shots on goal over his entire career, which doesn't equate to misses like the ones on the weekend being a "frequent occurance." As a comparison, Fev converted at approx 61% over his career.

Probably explained why we lost so many games with our kick it to Fev gameplan

How many stats are kept for OOF and not making the distance etc ??

Hard to say he kicked 2 out of every 3 shots at goal when those stats are not kept, maybe frequent occurrence was an exaggeration though:)

That's why I specifically said scoring shots, as I doubt there are records kept of the OOF & not making the distance shots (Murphy kicked 3.0 on Sunday, yet didn't make the distance on his last shot for goal from about 40 metres, I would hope we wouldn't hold that against him when looking back on his game).

My Bad, misinterpreted "conversion rate".

Much prefer Murph on the run though all the same.:thumbsu:

If Fev marked the ball anywhere within 60m of the goals he'd have a crack without looking for a better option. Gotta love the Fevolution!:D

Loved Jamo saying that he wasn't making a fuss over 100 games because he always thought that was going to happen. That's the type of confidence that goes a long way to beating the best forwards in the comp.

As much as we all want Henderson up forward, I'm sure we all feel pretty confident that when the ball gets bombed into our backline, our two big defenders are going to make it seriously tough for their opponents to mark, let alone score. Great tag-team-duo those two.

Jamo's smarts and voice provide real direction for his team mates back there. It's always great to have players who's preferred spot is down back, otherwise egos get all messed up like an overgroomed hairstyle in a tornado.

Jamo set to play his 100th game this Friday night. :thumbsu:

Such an unassuming bloke, but so so important to our structure.
When he plays well, so does the entire team.
After all of his shoulder issues, so great that he has finally gotten to 100 games.

Well played Jamo.

Unfortunately Bryce missed 3 games earlier this season so that milestone has been pushed back to round 20 vs the Western Bulldogs. Just haven't changed that in the OP.
