Matt Crouch. Probably the best genuine extractor in this year's draft. Battersby would be one that would fit in well at Gold Coast as well.

Nobody has gone out on a limb and put Templeton in their top 20 yet. Maybe he won't go that high, but confident he will be in the top 20 best players from this year's draft in five years time. Gun!
I really, really like Crouch as a player but I have absolutely no idea where he will go in the draft. I wouldn't be surprised if he was top 10 but then I also wouldn't be surprised if he slides somewhat. Whoever does pick him up will be very happy with their selection in the years to come IMO.

Good write ups but, as an Eagles fan I think that I would rather have Bontempelli or Freeman than Crouch (Just going by the writeups mind you, I saw only a little of the under 18's this year.)

I have him up with Zak Jones in the bottom end of the top 30. Not really a first round type for me.

Yes Freeman and Bontempelli have greater potential but Crouch will deliver more from day 1 and it is almost guaranteed that he will produce a serviceable effort at AFL level.

Yes Jaeger going to GC would have enraged some. In my update Sheed should go around 9, so he'll be up for the taking if the Eagles want him.
I think WCE and gold coast will end up swapping positions, I also believe WCE have strong interest in Bontempelli moreso than Sheed at
the moment.

I reckon right now Bontempelli is a stretch at about 7. He still needs to put in some ultra impressive games to get into the top 10.

I'll be disappointed in freo if there's a decent key forward in this draft that we can grab and we don't.
Having said that I do think your first round selection should be used to take the best player available no matter what there size is.
Lewis Taylor is only 174 cm not the key forward were looking for but no doubt if he is best available he sold b taken.

You should have the opportunity to grab a tall forward with your second pick. I think someone like Hourigan should be available, maybe even Mitch Harvey. On Taylor, no key forward is really available at 14 and Taylor is an exciting player.

I've heard quite a bit about Crouch, but not much about Battersby. I thought he played a half-back role? That's what I've seen of him so far in the Champs.

He did play there, but that was only due to the depth of the SA roster. He is a genuine extractor who wins his share of hard ball but size will be a worry at AFL level.
I highly doubt Billings would be there. Even if he is, I think his role could clash with Gray's or Wingard's. Dumont is probably the best available with possibly Taylor entering the mix.

By the length of the Flemington straight. Nielsen the next best, but a fair way away.
Tbh I'm not sure, sounds arrogant but we are pretty set in all positions. Just need continuing time for them to develop, probably a wingman or a reboundjng half back might be one of the only needs. I can see take them just taking the best player avaliable with a strong bias to WA/TAS.
GC are in a great position with their list, no major weaknesses so they can afford to just go with best available talent with each pick.
I love the looks of Hogan but Martin looks a class above everyone else, it would be hard to go past him.
