Nice start to the leaking year..
Unknown Mortal Orchestra - II

Who is on this?
You won't be let down if you enjoyed the first one.
These guys have a sound that are not made for these times.

I appreciate production that does not tear your ears of. Anti Loud Wars!

Keen for some new Warpaint as well, their debut is still my most loved album of the 2010's. New NC & Bad Seeds on the horizon as well.

Autechre's 11th album Exai also arrives in early March, most keen for that being my favourite act and all.

Who is doing the vocals on the Marr album?

A Dean Ween solo album would be very interesting...

Clash the Truth by Beach Fossils was disappointing for me. The soundscapes were nice, but only having five or six fully formed songs was disheartening, especially when Shallow had been out for months. Some good post-punk though, they really nailed the guitar sounds I dig. New Toro y Moi is pretty sugary, but it's good.

Looking forward to Atoms for Peace, Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Los Campesinos!, and a bunch of others I'll no doubt be forgetting. Very interested to see the stuff James Murphy's been working on as well (as he's reportedly helping with the new Arcade Fire).

confirmed releases;
17/01 - sleepmakeswaves - ...and then we remixed everything
25/01 - [me] - Even the Odd Ones Out
01/02 - Biffy Clyro - Opposites
08/02 - Tegan & Sara - Heartthrob
15/02 - Lowrider - Black Stones
15/02 - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Push the Sky Away
01/03 - Birds of Tokyo - March Fires
15/03 - Bob Evans - Familiar Stranger

also likely to release new music;
Bellusira, Calling All Cars, Engine Three Seven, Jericco, Jimmy Eat World, Karnivool, Limp Bizkit, Moroccan Kings, N'Fa, Owl Eyes, Pearl Jam, Queens of the Stone Age & Sydonia.

it's all johnny i believe...

I started to get ideas and notions all piled up on top of each other, which eventually convinced me that it was finally a good time for me to go and do this. I’d been working as part of different groups and writing music for other people to sing, which is cool because it’s easy for me to come up with riffs, but when those riffs were married to these other ideas and notions that seemed bigger — and it wasn’t just about playing my part of the song on the guitar, but rather that these were my songs — it became a different thing. There was an overriding aesthetic to these things I was coming up which made it seem like they should all be a part of a record. I habitually think like a band animal, probably because I’ve been doing this now since I was literally 14, so I assumed that I’d put a group together and off we’d go, but within a few weeks of making demos by myself it became clear that I was already just making the record. I’d pull in various friends to play whenever I needed them, but I didn’t put a gang together and forge into it like we were a band, which I guess is what made it a solo record.

and dean ween should be very good.

Thanks mate.

Earl's most definitely got his, Doris, coming out next year. Just hope it has as little of Odd Future possible

Atoms for Peace is probably the one I'm most interested in right now. Plus the Knife should be releasing their first album since Silent Shout.

Holding out for the National to give us a new one too.

How true do people reckon the rumours of a new Tool album are? Wikipedia and a few other snippets I've read/heard suggest they've recorded most of the material for another album, but I've been hearing similar things for the past couple of years. Hoping it's for real this time.

I've given up, coming up to 7 years now since last LP.

My Bloody Valentine are set to release another album in 2013. They've recorded all the material, just need to mix/master apparently. Could be worth a look I reckon.
It was mastered before Christmas. No idea what to expect. I can't help but feel it'll be a disappointment. I mean, Loveless is just one of those rare classics.

I'm listening to Jamie T for the first time in a long time. Reminds me of being 16. So surely this guy has an album out this year? It's been a real wait.
