NFL 2013 NFL - Mock Drafts

Manziel's NFL draft stock will never be higher than after he won the Heisman.

Too bad he wasn't eligible to declare for the NFL.

The Jets have a golden opportunity to tank for Teddy next season.

Bridgewater looking solid in the sugar bowl against one of the best defenses in the country the gators...so far

Clowney and Marquise Lee are two studs who NFL teams will be drooling over next year. At the VERY early stages it appears the top few picks of the 2014 draft could be very very good.

If Joe Southwick continues at the rate he's going at, he could be a 1st round pick ;)

Though, I doubt he'd improve that much, must likely CFL for him.

Hands off.

He's ours. :p
That scenario would give me (and more importantly Peyton) nightmares. I hope he lands in the NFC, that hit he put on against Michigan was frightening

He will cause nightmares wherever he lands.

Imagine him at the Niners opposite Aldon Smith.

Ok let's get a grip guys. He is scary and that was one of the best plays I have ever seen in sport (you had to watch it live with the previous play to really appreciate it) but Taylor Lewan beat him in that game.

Clownney had 4 tackles and a force fumble and recovery for the whole game. That's it.

He is 19 years old.

I'm tipping he'll get a bit bitter.

Matthews is staying for his senior year which is stupid he was a sure fire top 20 pick imo

He's projected to be a top 5-10 pick next year once Joeckel's left, hence why he's staying. Plus I guess he thinks A&M have a decent title shot next season.

Did you see any of the rest of his season? He's a freak. The only way he possibly doesn't go number 1 is if Teddy Bridgewater plays lights out next season.

I know he will get better.

I just feel people who didn't watch the game are getting a tad carry away when he was clearly beaten on the day.

I would say I watched more sec football this year than the very conference my team plays in. I have also been tracking Clowney since he was one of the highest rated high school prospects in history.

I wouldn't think it will be that clear cut as to Clowney being pick 1. Firstly Bridgewater is a freak and has all the traits coaches love in a player (think of the game before the bowl). Secondly, there is always a riser in the qb position. Thirdly, teams will reach for a qb (look at geno smith this year for example).

I just keep thinking of what happened to Julius Peppers when he came out of nc.

He certainly didn't dominate, that's for sure. (I watched the game, Lewan did a solid job)

But that play changed the entire game.

So you guys who watched the game whats your view on Lewan compared to Joekel??

Joekel is the consesus top OT but i havent read a bad thing about Lewan.

How do both compare as pro prospects to Kalil from last year?

I would take Joekel ahead of Lewan, but only just.

Got an opinion from a scout a while back on Lewan

This is what good teams do...

* Interesting that several teams have high draft picks as their OT combos, LT first:
SF Staley and Davis, 1st and 1st.
NE Solder and Vollmer, 1st and 2nd.
BAL Oher and Osemele, 1st and 2nd.
CIN Whitworth and Smith, 2nd and 1st.
DEN Clady and Franklin, 1st and 2nd.
MIN Kalil and Loadholt, 1st and 2nd.

And, like I said, Football Post is highly reputable as a resource...

Mel Kiper JUST moved Glennon to the top QB prospect in this draft, based on feedback he got from NFL executives.
Not sure who to believe on all that, but that is fairly shocking.

They had Mike Glennon ranked top overall QB. Now others starting to take notice.
Also, I heard a rumor Andry Reid likes Glennon.

Don't think anything has been announced but don't always presume these sources are correct. At the end of the season many felt Moore the best chance of the three of them (Joeckel, Matthews and Moore) to stay and now he has gone. In the end Moore had to go, the money will be of such a benefit to his family. He'd have grown up dreaming of funding his family and he can do that now.

Word out of college station was Joeckel was gone however with money not being an issue for him there is def a feeling that his chances of staying are better. This is the hardest one to read. Wont be surprised either way. Has

Money also is not an issue for Jake. He comes from a football factory of a family. Son of a pro bowler, brother started at C for us and his cousins two guys called Clay Matthews and Casey Matthews. You may have heard of clay and his family wants him to stay and play a season with his younger brother Mike who redshirted as a true freshman this year.

Don't worry mate I know how good that play was.

My heart was starting to crack. Esp after the highway robbery we got the previous play.

I reckon Whitworth and Smith are quietly one of the better combos out there.

Reid has a few tough decisions ahead of him. Although taking the risk and failing with Glennon yields some serious talent at the top of 2014.
That said, if I were KC I would be trading down and trying to pry someone's 1st rounder next year. Scaring a team like the Vikings did to Browns this year.
