If we can somehow win the QF and the PF and we meet them on a GF surely our clearance work won't matter coz there's sucks too! :p
I don't think they are overly concerned about that... Mitchell is a gun clearance player and has barely played in there this year... if need be they will throw him in

Australian Cricket Team,
fwiw, and I've been around a long time, but I don't think we 've ever lost a GF against a team that had one of our discards/rejects. So I'm hoping, IF we are lucky enough to get there, and we play Haw, that they play Simpkin.
It is a good sign that our " reject " makes their GF team.
BUT, getting way ahead of myself here. Rd 15 will suffice.
I don't get it I wasn't talking about simpkin... Are you implying that simpkin is one of the reasons for hawthorn's clearance woes?

Australian Cricket Team,
Who in your opinion is more now or never in regards to flag aspirations, The Hawks or GFC? . I mean like retirements and improvements from youngsters, etc.

No you weren't; what's there to get other than what I said, which was in reply to Footsore's reply to you, if that makes sense. He called Simpkin a plodder. That he isn't , imo, but my point remains.

Hawks for 2013 for sure, all pressure and expectation is with them, and justifiably.
They have the depth, talent, hunger and possible know-how to do it this year, and who knows about the future?
Buddy's decision will be the talking point come finals and beyond. Roughy is a gun anyway.
We rely on too many IFFY players to go all the sway this year. It is possible, but unlikely. Next year and beyond,????

Had to laugh at Roughead on The Sunday Footy Show, where he announced that the Hawthorn footy club will be donating $1000 to Shane Crawford's charity run only to be pipped by Billie Smedts and Josh Caddy (?) with their donation of $3500.:D

Your kidding?! Was Josh and Billie's donation on behalf of the Cats, or just them? Either way, it shows class, and the continuing mind-games we conjour over this lot is inspirational.

Frankly the Dawks worry me. Their forward line seems to be purring along nicely now that the focus is not on Buddy. Roughie looks ominous.
I would be quite happy if we could avoid the Dawks come finals.

Such a pessimist. We have far more talent. Show some respect to the club you follow.

Err. Just quietly, I am with Veedubs on this. If I was asked to put good money on who I thought would win the flag it would be on the Dawks. It has nothing to do with lack of respect. The Dawks look to be the best balanced outfit going around at the moment despite the fact we beat them earlier on in the year. They are not top of the table for nothing.

Of course if I had to bet that money, I would still hope with all my might that I lost that cash. I despise the Dawks with a passion.

disagree.

We are the only team that can stop them winning the flag, so I actually want to play them.

bloody oath and I think Chapman, Corey and a couple others would want to end their careers by playing them too just so they can finally put to bed the 2008 disaster once and for all.

Chappy has to get on the park first. He is in the same boat as McIntosh.

We'd never lost a Grand Final after winning 15 straight either. But we found a way.

P.S. Mooney, Harley and Stokes were all technically rejects in 2007 as well.

Crowley is at it again whacking Harvey and wrestling with him before the game today. I hope our guys are ready for it, because Crowley and Ballantyne will be jumper punching and niggling (Selwood and Johnson in particular) like never before next week. I can't say our guys won't get sucked in either. lol
