What do they actually do when the lightning and thunder begins to look dangerous for all involved?

I don't think I have ever seen a game stopped because of that potential danger. Have heard of soccer players get struck by lightning
Yeah was wondering the same thing. Considering the amount of water on the field.

Can already guess Micks excuses/defections if this keeps up
-it was unfair because the swans played in the rain last week
-the players had no energy from walking from the change rooms to the ground
:D

Nope, no mention.
Certainly looked like he hit him in the head as the Carlton bloke stayed down for a few seconds but oh well, that's the current game for ya :thumbsu:

Wow, it's a slog of a game in the midst of a deluge - only four points scored this entire quarter  ! Somehow I'm not sure the AFL will be using this first half to market the game in non-footy jurisdictions. I'm fascinated to see how long it takes for Carlton to kick their first goal. though.
In all honesty I think the RL public prefer a contested scrap in difficult conditions than the free-flowing game most of us like. So this may actually be up their alley!

Have to laugh at Mick Shithouse coaching from the boundary line in his rain coat while horse shit stays in the coaches box.

What is missing from this game is commentary by Paul Roos.
