Agree with fred. Will be a giant crock! Apparently if WADA decide there are exceptional circumstances etc changes the whole ball game as regards sanctions etc.

More or less, yes.
And even if ASADA decides neither of the 2 get-out clauses apply, the players have a right of appeal to the AFL Tribunal, and then to the AFL Appeals Board.
And nothing can happen anyway til ASADA finishes its investigation, decides whether anyone is guilty, and makes its penalty recommendations, but.....4 weeks ago "THE Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority investigation into doping in the NRL and AFL would take months, if not years, to complete, ASADA chief Aurora Andruska indicated to a Senate estimates committee in Canberra yesterday".

The more I think about it, I think Watson's reply on monday was super calculated to some end. I am yet to quite figure it out... There's some unusual but coherent logic there somewhere.

what were peoples thoughts on the rushed rule last night? to me it is exactly what it was brought in for, but i seems i am at odds with every commentator in the country. he took possession, didnt seen an option, then when pressure came just walked over the line. so whilst he was 'under pressure' when he took it over the line, he had a few seconds before that where he wasnt and could have dispossed of the ball.

now it could be due to my bad memories of the 08 GF that i think it was a good decision, as that is basically what hawthorn did a dozen times that day, and i feel the rule should be used in this instance. the other rule brought in from that game, the dragging players to the ground after the dispose of the ball isnt being called nearly enough either, and i bet it will happen tonight as that is a tactic lyon will employ. you watch crowley drag selwood down after every disposal so he cant run on and be an option up the ground...

anyway, i support the call last night. rant over.

A quick run through the Ladder Predictor this morning for something to do,seen us finishing 3rd and playing Freo in the first final in the West, that being the case I'd prefer to finish 4th and play the Hawks first up at the MCG.
You're doing it wrong.;)

anything in the Jack bump?

Everything, Jack left the ground and had his elbow raised which connected with the head. Worth 2 weeks, will get reprimand.
Keep in mind Stevie got 2 due to his poor record... so potentially 1 week turned into 2 because of that...
If jack has a good record he may get 1 reduced to a reprimand because of his record..

Which does not in any way help the MRP look consistent... everything he did screams weeks... but if he has been a good boy he may get away without missing a game...
