I've read that WC are very keen on Sheed. Not sure how much to read into that...

Guess it depends on who else is available at their pick. Sheed will be a good player but surely there's a Bontempelli/Lennon/Billings still on the table

They would be keen on him for a reason. Id look at him as a top 5 pick for sure.

I want this kid

Kade Kolodjashnij
Club: Launceston
D.O.B.: 9.8.95
Height: 190cm
Weight: 81kg

Very athletic medium defender/midfielder that accumulates the footy. His athleticism allows him to cover the ground with ease and provide his team with fantastic rebound off half-back. A smart user of the ball on his preferred left foot, has an excellent vertical leap and strong hands in the marking contest. Joint winner of the division two Harrison Medal as well as earning All-Australian honours. Averaged 27 disposals and six marks for the division two champions Tasmania at the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships. AIS-AFL Academy Graduate.

Ok but if we do draft him can we just call him Kolo

I'd rather a more offensive player personally. Edwards seems to be playing both midfielder and small forward, he's doing alright but I'm not sure the situation is ideal. Ultimately Richmond has a medium/small forward position to fill, and I'd like to see one of A Edwards, White or King pushed out for a better attacking player.

Anyone think we should draft Chris Cain? 26yo 181cm 83kg from Port Melbourne. He moves like andrew swallow but has better skills. Averaging 27 disposals, 5 tackles, 4 clearances and runs forward to kick goals. He's a very smart player and a good tackler. The only reason he wasnt drafted was he had lower back problems, seems over it now. Cmon tiges get him!

Yes please. Been saying it all year!! Only have to look at Sam Dwyer.

Sam Dwyer's been found out. Ordinary. I have a feeling Cain is too much in the same mould. Having said that I'd prefer them both to Lonergan because they can at least use the footy.

So if I'm not mistaken the order will be

1 - GWS
2 - Melb
3 - St Kilda
4 - Dogs
5 - GC
6 - WC
7 - Lions
8 - Norf
9 - Collingwood
10 - GWS
11 - Richmond

With the rest to be determined. Will be 12 if Melb get a thoroughly undeserved PP.

Likely to be on the table at this point are players like Salem, Bontempelli, Sheed, Freeman, Dunstan, Dumont, Kolodjashnij and Crouch, with an outside chance of a Lennon/Billings/Taylor sliding

Question is, do we rate any of these kids higher than Adams and are we staking our chances on landing said kid? Personally I'd prefer to just get Adams in a straight swap, maybe with other players/picks thrown in.

Batchelor/Foley/Griffiths + 11 + 30 for Adams + 20 is one I'd be looking at

On the table at 20 would be the likes of Hartung, Hourigan, Battersby, Templeton, Gardiner, Impey and Acres with an outside chance of a Dumont/Dunstan/Salem sliding

I'd personally be stoked with Hartung and Adams. Those two would add a lot to our midfield

I didn't expect a pick as good as 11 after finishing 5th on the ladder.

We lost our final and Essendon lost their pick so we move up one too, so it's like finishing 8th.

Pretty lucky to get pick 11 after finishing 5th, it probably won't happen to another club for a long time.

Melb shouldn't get sh!t from the AFL. Port were a basket case as well but Melbourne need to work hard instead of always having the hand out looking for donations. ........ hack club. ....

One guy I don't think I've mentioned and want to hear more from TFLUA-Tiger and Tigerbob is Karl Amon of Sandy Dragons. Could be that speedy x-factor outside type with elite skills.

Karl's probably a bit unfortunate that he plays in a star studded midfield the majority of the time and has been played predominately as a wingman or small forward. You don't get too much time to work on your inside game when you've got Salem, Freeman, Merrett and Kelly in front of you.

Amon's really quick, he tears down the wings and gets into space to use his neat left boot to effect. His kicks are sometimes lasers, can kick it a long way and tends to hit targets. It's not overly elite when under pressure, and that's something you'd be seriously looking at working on. He's shown an ability to sneak forward and hit the scoreboard too, and his bag of three against nsw/act kept him in selector's thoughts longer than they expected. Amon's purely outside and doesn't have the tank of other short speedsters in the draft to keep getting it. Has a tendency to go missing, and I'm not sure he's as athletically explosive as reported. Testing will be interesting. Would have been great to see him play tac finals.

tigs2010 - I'd love to grab your thoughts on Zac Merrett and Nicholas Bourke.

Good write up on Amon. I think there's a lot to work with as say a 3rd rounder or later.

Merrett can play but to me seems a bit plain and doesn't have a lot of weapons. I think best case he becomes a depth player.

Bourke I haven't probably seen enough but he seems to have all the tools that you would want, tall, athletic, decent skills etc but for me just doesn't do enough.

Both are probably 2nd-3rd round prospects? I have others in that range I prefer.
