He's been looking quite good in the wafl, as far as I'm aware. I've not heard about any recent issues, but lots of stigma will still exist for a long time over what happened last year.

I'm not going to speculate on order before champs because its just top can hard. We've all got a lot of watching to do before we even start talking order. I'm still collating profiles and chasing up tapes.

To answer your question: At this stage you'd think he'd be gone by our pick, but it's too hard to know now and depends on too many variables such as champs form, injuries, etc.

No. At least not directly.

Brothers. Head to a Gippsland game and you'll see the dreadlocked bomber in the stands.
Thanks for the insight TFLUA-Tiger, looking forward to more juicy junior news.

Reckon we should take the Gamble with him.Seeing that the club doesn't rate this years draft pool.

He should have been rookied last year. Amazed he fell through even with the stories.

He has been given a talking down too at bloody WAFL level and focused. Could of easily done this at AFL level. Got him to stay with a leader when he came and just given him some TLC.

A miss, I hope we have a chance at obtaining him. He is a brilliant footballer. Certainly was a top 10 talent last year. Means, probably the same if not higher this year, but will probably go later.

A Dwayne Wilson (First Round) & Dayle Garlett draft would get me very excited.

One of them would be bound to work out ;)

I think Wilson is a lock to. He won't be consistently high level but will impact games from day one.

Garlett has some question marks on him from people, for me, when he get's out there he is poetry to watch. These two in our team could be anything.

Something must have been there if all clubs passed him even those clubs with 'good culture'.

Not saying he cant be better tho.

Have heard knocks on Garlett's ball-winning. But then again that shouldn't worry our club while we have Grigg running around on a wing. At least he's a top bloke.

Wilson & Garlett would be amazing. Would still need a little bloke to play in the forward line too.

There is no reason our club can't get the best out of him.

In my opinion we have one of the best coaches in the league to develop talent, in Chocco.

Garlett is a thousand times the outside player to what we have save for Deledio, and he along eith Wilson would provide the X factor our team craves.

I,m sold.Get it done Francis.

I think it's time we stop recruiting slow Hardwick types... make no doubt about it I like the aggression and stuff but we need people who can break lines consistently and pass it off to the advantage of teammates. Deledio breaks lines but we always rely on him. Maybe it's time we use SAQ training this pre-season.

What if they both go before pick 18? :p

Haha!

I think we will have a pick in the 10-14 bracket and that should be about right for Wilson.

Garlett who knows. Someone may bite early or he may miss again. If hae no hesitation taking him with our second round pick or obtaining another late first and taking him. Minus his issues he's a top 5 - 10 talent.

I'd back our development program in.

Anyone think we should consider looking at someone like Gardiner with our 1st pick now, what with Grimes going down again? Need to plan the future without him and without him our KPD stocks look menacingly thin. Even now pretty much all our KPDs at Coburg are or once were forwards.

For some reason a common misconception. Astbury and Elton both played forward AND back in their junior careers. Elton looking good at CHB after only a couple of games there. Could be the one we are looking for.

I think we need to trade for a KPD if one isn't already on our list like Elton/Astbury. We're only a few pieces away from being a very good team. An 18yo KPD won't really help now.

Given that all the teams that will finish below us are screaming for midfielders I wonder if there is a chance someone like Tom Boyd will slip down the draft. Clubs also look like they are filling ruck spots with players from other teams who arent getting the opportunity. Can't say I know much about Boyd's more recent form. I know he was a super junior player.

I like the look of Boyd.

Just doing a quick look if I was GWS I would grab him, do not know too much about Aish atm.

Boyd looks best available quickly. Hawthorn would jump at Boyd for sure but if Buddy goes hopefully with FA no Boyd.
b
Then I would hope in next 3 years RFC move heaven an earth to get Boyd in a trade with GWS, or Patton or the other fella Cameron, as GWS probably can't hold three for synergy reasons but getting Boyd long term for GWS they will get most value out of 2013 draft particularly if they nab Franklin via FA. Then we might see some serious player movement

Having said this , not sure at all and running on emotion atm, just something I would consider for the Tigers though:D

Described as "Nicely sized wingman"

Cold shiver still runs through me when I remember the number of "nicely sized wingman" types we recruited during the horror Wallace years.
