I think it's because I, along with others assumed that Dunstan and Sheed would be available at Richmond's pick. And I'd rather Dunstan over Sheed, both can do it inside but have a better outside game. Crouch plays like Boyd, racks it up but his kicking is average, doesn't have much athleticism and doesn't have a great outside game. I expect him to be snapped up by Collingwood before Richmond's pick anyway.

didnt consider collingwood to be looking for an inside mid but will consider

Freeman isn't bad, I wonder about his consistency though.

Think a couple of pre seasons to up his tank and hell be a powerhouse considerably more consistent. Not like danger as everyone keeps saying as i dont see his marking allowing him to play out of the goal square like danger but around clearances yep.

Fair point. In a bottom team, Billings would struggle, but in a side like Richmond, I think he'd be fine. Like Johnson, Billings can't shake a tag, but with the other Richmond midfielders, I doubt he'd have to. Who would tag Billings if you've go Deledio and Martin to worry about?

Agree but thats lots of the reason like stevie J that people are scared to pick him up top 5 as obviously those teams that have top 5 picks dont have the star talent to take the heat off billings

Tigs (or anyone else for that matter), do you know anything about Ben Sokol?
This is his write up from Knightmare:
Height: 183cm, Weight: 87kg, DOB: 28/10/1995
Recruited from: South Fremantle
Style: Dane Swan (early career)
Player comparison:
Range: 30-rookie
Profile: Sokol is a strong marking forward who can really put his stamp on games. Sokol’s point of difference is his ability 1v1 up forward for a midfielder. He has Dane Swan type strength 1v1 where no guy can go with him as his strength is just so strong but then also has those strong hands to really take those grabs. Sokol’s endurance is also excellent for someone with such a strong body making him a hard player to go with and just seems to be one of those players who just knows how to find the footy easier than the next guy. He seems to improve with every game and is a player as a midfield rotation type who can play up forward could be better than most think.

Sounds like someone we would pick

I love Sokol. I reckon he's got a big of Rockliff about him. Have zero idea where he lands though.

have seen his tapes and strikes me as an azza type, great hit up forward stewie crameri like overhead, but as a player of his size should work on his deffensive pressure.would play as a third tall and i think he'd go early third

Oh well .. chapman would have been nice .. Taylor is one of many useful young mids and we have plenty of our own ... we filled the gap we most needed to anyway.

Our recruiters have not got much wrong in recent years and we do need to be mindful of the TPP ... just hope Chappy in a Carlton jumper does not shred us in the 2014 finals :rainbow:

No Taylor, no Chapman.
Well, this October trade period has been a complete waste of time.

If Hampson was our major priority........we're FHARKED!!!!

agree. very ordinary turn around and we still have spuds like nahas on our list.

How? We desperately needed a 2nd Ruck to aid Maric and we have picked up one in Hampson, we need to follow the path and take no shortcuts, continued development of our youth will see us rise further with pickups throughout the process, not all at once in the 2013 Trading Period.

Hopefully he last until the rookie draft and can nab him like we did with cayden williams but the difference with cayden was clubs were worried about his shoulder problems.

He won't because he'll be out with a hamstring injury and that is when we start laughing at the club, who thought it was a bright idea to bring in a 32 year old, who is injury prone and will retire in one or two years time.

A no from Richmond on Gartlett it appears. I am ruling him out of our draft calculations.

The only other trade i want for xmas is Robin Nahas traded and get a 2nd rounder for the white/McGoof departures
almost forgot about nahas. i remember bulldogs were interested but theres been no talk about him being traded. would most likely be delisted and picked up through the delisted free agency or through the draft.

Anyone else feel that Crouch/Dunstan/Sheed would fill more of a need then Salem considering Tucky is gone and we didn't get Adams

Arnot or Helbig could fill that role, I think Arnot would fill that role nicely with his continued defensive efforts and physicality. Salem just seems like the player we need where he has the time and space to size up his options, in addition to that he loves a tackle.

tigs2010 Tigerbob TFLUA-Tiger would we take Sheed if he was available. Brett Anderson from Inside Footy seems to think he'll be available at our pick. His top 10 at present is:
1. Boyd 2. Aish 3. Kelly 4. Scharenberg 5. Kolodjashnij 6. Billings 7. Freeman 8. McDonald 9. Lennon 10. Bontempelli

Dont shoot the messenger BUT
I have been informed that Dayle Garlett is still the same Dayle Garlett apparently you only need to be his facebook friend to see he
is still up to the same shit.

I wouldnt know i dont have FaceBook so maybe someone else can shed some light on this if i am wrong.
