Interesting the article of AFL.com saying the lions to get pick 18 for Longer (if I understood it correctly?). would that be paying overs ? But I think they did say they would receive a pick downgrade as part of that deal (the trading club....Saints?).

Sam Landsberger saying that the Pies basically tossed up Jesse White for 44 vs Apeness, who would likely be available at that pick.
Went with White. If he's there at 50 I'd happily nab him. Though he's not a giant ruck/ fwd...

I don't think he's much more than a third tall at the next level. Would think about Fraser Fort as a key back before jk.

Think the deal for Longer may involve Saints Port and Lions. It's confusing but I believe its something like:
Lions lose Polec & Longer get picks 14
Port get Polec & 18
Saints get Longer

Lions getting screwed on that IMO but when the players want out and can walk into PSD if they don't get traded I guess you take what you can get. If I was the Lions I'd be asking the Saints throw in 24 or 25 to sweeten the deal.
