I like the look of Charlie Cameron and Steven Edwards for that small forward role. Both skilled and instinctively put their head over the ball. Have good leg speed and both are over 180cm but move like they are shorter. Could be good options at 50

Cameron's a good player. Overager from the Champs. My only concerns with Cameron were he doesn't have enough tricks offensively but Chris assures me he does. His defensive game is elite.

So Cameron is 19?

Pretty sure. Think he's a rugby player who has just got into footy recently. They sent him to Combine last year just to watch and give him a goal for this year and then he played for Swans seniors because he was too old for Colts. Done well.

Interesting. That explains his defensive mindset then with the rugby background.

yeah that's the thing about this draft - players like Wilson can go from second round to our 3rd.
There are at least 14 players that may be top 10..then there are the sliders

BTW thoughts on Fort?
I'm not a fan of Fort. He looks really ungainly which puts me off players.

Pick 12 (in order of preference):
- Aish (unlikely)
- Lennon (highly unlikely)
- Salem
- Dunstan
- Acres
- McCarthy

Pick 50:
- J. Kolodjashnij
- Ben Sokol
- Karmpany

Would use our last pick in upgrading Darou.

How many Edwards' do you reckon we can handle? :p

No Kelly, oops! Thanks Stylo

1 GWS - Boyd
2 GWS - Bontempelli
3 St Kilda - Aish
4 Footscray - Kelly
5 GC - Kolodjashnij
6 Collingwood - Freeman
7 Brisbane - Scharenberg
8 North - McDonald
9 Melbourne - Lennon
10 Collingwood - Crouch?
11 West Coast - Sheed
12 Richmond - Salem/Taylor/Acres/Dunstan/Billings

On second thoughts, Billings may slip, he's got some injury concerns.

The differing speculation regarding the order of this year's draft by (so called) experts and BF posters alike has led me to believe that after Tom Boyd, nobody has a clue as to what will eventuate.

Yeah I'm not an expert and don't have a clue. I do know that Kelly and Billings ar liked by the saints, Kolodjashnij and Bontempelli might rise, Freeman is loved by Melbourne and Collingwood, and West Coast will most likely either grab Acres or Sheed, with both most likely to be available. But yeah, just because you like a player doesn't mean you'll draft them.

Kelly?

At this stage I think the first round will go something like this

1. GWS - Boyd
2. GWS - Kelly
3. Saints - Billings
4. Dogs - Kolodjashnij
5. GC - Bontempelli
6. Collingwood - Scharenberg
7. Brisbane - Lennon
8. North - McDonald
9. Melbourne - Salem
10. Collingwood - Aish
11. WCE - Sheed
12. Richmond - Acres
13. Blues - Freeman
14. GWS - Taylor
15. Sydney - Crouch
16. Geelong - Dunstan
17. Fremantle - McCarthy
18. St Kilda - Dumont
19. St Kilda - Hartung

Past our pick I'm just guessing, the rest I'm pretty confident about

Acres worries me, not in terms of his playing style, but his homesickness risk. I read somewhere that even though he played for West Perth, he's a country lad so the move might be tough? Or am I wrong on this.

I would hope that with a good club culture and promise of success, the 'go home' factor wouldn't bite us. presumably the recruiters would work out who was more likely to do that, and weight them accordingly.

I think you might have Acres mixed up with someone else as he born in Perth and played his all his football in the city.
