geez reading that phantom draft a lot of smaller players this year, but Richmond seem to get all the tall mids.

I'm on the salem bandwagon, sounds amazing and can't wait to watch a bit of him in the champs. What are the chances he gets to us or are his stocks going to keep rising ala Macrae or trengove??

Just curious who might be this years slider like Vlastuin, Darling or Rich?

Too early to tell. The boy I mentioned earlier though I think with a good Championship could be one that flies into a top 20 pick. Maybe someone that could be in contention for our pick should we rise up the ladder a bit.

I don't know if he was ever too far from it. Has always been in my top 20. Like you said, clean and skilful.

Verrier and Darrou. Can be offered a 3rd year if we wanted or promote. I think Verrier is gone. Hasn't really copped injuries that I know of and is a small/medium type. Darrou being a KPP and is developing nicely could get an extra year or a promotion. Best rookie we've had in a while IMO.

Spoke to Verrier on the Sponsor night for quite a while. He knows he needs to show something this season at Coburg to earn a third year. His saving grace may be that as we reportedly do not rate this draft too high, we may opt to go with better the devil you know approach.

Ben Darrou is highly rated within the club was another snippet I got from sponsor night, worst case scenario I suspect is he will get a third year on the rookie list or he is an upgrade option for 2014.

Interested in what type we will go with first up? will obviously be a mid, but will it be an inside player like crouch or a more outside one like lennon? I think we have a need for both but interested which one people think will take precedent

Billings, Lennon, Salem. One of those 3, and I'd be happy. Don't want to trade our 1st rounder to GWS, even for somebody like Adams. Would trade a 2nd rounder and a promising player, but no more.

I'd say we'd be lucky if one of those three lasts till us (Lennon) I'd prefer Adams over Lennon personally. If we choke and miss the 8 though then I'm with you, keep the 1st rounder.

You reckon Salem will go top 10?

The simple fact is you wont get adams or any of the 1st rounders for a 2nd rd pick unless the player attached is a gun. Around pk 15 which he was and a player is fair imo. Remember a lot of the time clubs don't like making other clubs even stronger than they are ( and adams would nearly finish of our midfield) so you have to make it happen somehow.

GWS have stated that they want players on all lines to compliment them as well as tide them over until their young stars boot them out permanently.
So adams for say pk 15 is fair but then add a player. As much as a mcguane type is not that good he would suit gws in that he can play for another 2 years while the stars get scaled up game time but give them a chop out whilst doing so. He can play back and fwd and take over that role that cornes does for minimum chips.

Pk 15,mcguane for adams= sold imo.

Wont happen but you get the gist.

Doh. The idea is right though. In fact if I was gws I would be right into him.

They could offer him a truck load for 1 year. Manufacture a 1st rounder and then we'll trade both 1st rounders for Adams. In a year they delist McGuane. Win-win. :p

Well at least we should get a 3rd rounder for McGuane if some team decides to give him a deal & Perhaps if we are lucky Garlett will last to that selection .

So effectively McGuane for Dayle Garlett ------ I'll take that :D

As much as we pay out on McGuane he was alright this year. Better than some of the trash Brisbane put on the field weekly. :p

And maybe Ziebell
STFU! HE's the best young midfielder in the league. Everyone's jealous of him, that's why people fake head high contact and concoct doctors reports. Bloody AFL are in on it to- always suspending him. They're just pissed that they couldn't send poor old North to the Gold Coast and are taking it out on the best young player on the planet. Zeibulll!!!!!!

MEATGRINDER!!!!

*fap *fap.

With North consistently picking the same team yet not getting the results, and Brad continuing to play favourites, it might be time for Richmond to have a look at North's side, especially players like Kennedy and Greenwood, who can't get a game. Greenwood would probably be an upgrade on Lonergan in terms of midfielder stakes. Kennedy is a KPP with good kicking skills, and would probably mean that Richmond wouldn't need to draft another KPP.

I don't think Levi Greenwood is an upgrade on Lonergan, not in the slightest. They are both poo, but Greenwood stinks more
