Hey tigs2010 good responses.

Yeah Eli Templeton should be around our pick. He's really skinny, 67kg or thereabouts going on 50kg. But he has the body that could get him up to size quickly.

What he does possess is an ability to keep finding the football in any situation, outside, inside, handball received or winning it himself. He also has some of the best, cleanest hands out of any junior going around. His game sense is exceptional, very smart player.

One of those guys that Geelong would pick. I like that strategy. He's a good kid too. Other than his slight frame which I don't think is a big deal now with our improved facilities and development, I can't find too many weaknesses.

As we keep rising that ladder he is more and more becoming the one I want.

Is he like another Brad Crouch?

I played with his brother Johnny at Ferntree Gully. He is a freak but everyone doubts he will get drafted because of his size. There is a younger brother again who will definitely play AFL

Oh I know, pretty talented lot.

Ben is 170cm I'm pretty sure, not doubting his strength or skill and I'm confident he'd put on weight easily at an AFL club. I'd love to see him taken even as a rookie, he'd seize the opportunity almost certainly.

To add to my list on the previous page:

2nd Round: Dayle Garlett (if he was still there you'd have to think about it) and Nathan Freeman intrigues me with his pace.
Should we roll the dice and trade off our 1st Rnd pick to GWS/Melb/STK for a Player and 2nd rnd pick.
And use that 2nd rnd pick on Garlett?

Did Adelaide get excluded from any picks in trhis draft? Or just the two they surrendered last year.

Saints coach Scott Watters has told his recruiting team to find him a KPD. Would anyone be against us offering up either Astbury or Griffiths to try and secure another second round pick? In years gone past we would have been the ones who offered up a top pick for a clubs depth players to try and boost our stocks. So why not try and do the same with our depth players. It might enable us secure a kid that might not reach our second round pick as we would be picking 9 picks earlier.

We could do Astbury/Griffiths + Third rounder (44-46) for there second (22-24) That would then give us 3 picks inside the top 30. Could get a tall with 1 of those, An outside flanker (McCartney) and a pure midfielder.

Hi, can someone please write up a list of Richmond players who are potential trade targets, no matter if you want them to stay or go, if you have any doubt's write them up, im going on every team board to get a accurate list of trade targets, this rules out people thinking an Untouchable or recently signed player is gettable etc, after i get a full list ill return and give you the list. Cheers:thumbsu:

Nope. In fact I'd encourage it. Even if we had to throw in a late pick to get it. Really want us to try get Hourigan to take over from Aaron Edwards in the future.

GWS have reportedly put pick 1 on the table as they chase some established talent to bolster their list. Which raises a couple of questions.

1. What do we have to offer that could realistically get us pick 1? (No Nahas for pick 1 crap please)

2. Would you be happy if we did trade one or some of our established players to get ourselves the pick?

For mine I don't believe we have anything that we would want to/could afford to lose to get pick 1. I do think we have the players that could land us their second first round pick.

No for either pick tbh. Only way we get involved is if we can't sign Dusty of Jack.

1st rounder:

Dominic Sheed - I'd happily take him top 3 but Shifter apparently said he's a teens pick  so I'll include him. Not a great athlete but is just a real footballer. Absolute gun. Can play inside/outside. Wins clearances, uses the ball well and kicks goals. Really smart player. If he's there (which he won't IMO) he's a must have.

If we landed Sheed this year, we wouldn't need to draft another midfielder for 5 years:D

Typical GWS bullsh!t

They wont give up #1 ans are just wanting to see which players are available
They will go after Franklin with the AFL $$$$ & Take Aish with their 1st selection, I dont believe they have any interest in Boyd

I think the problem in this instance, and Sheedy would know, Boyd is worth more than Aish so they are short changing themselves just taking Aish.

The other thing is they have have other KPP particularly with Franklin , they need some current players after all their youth stockpile, they do not want to not fall away from the GC improvement benchmark , they need more wins, bigger crowds and they need success while the financial support allows for it.

So given all this I think the No. 1 on the table is genuine

the other thing is quality mids, unless absolute cream, are a dime a dozen. Elite KPP are rare as hens teeth and genuinely highly sought after attracting legitimate interest
