Would have to be a very very good reason if thats the case,There has been a North recruiter at atleast 6-7 games that Dayle has played this year and met with his coach and family also
(my clients brother is involved with SD)

What are your thoughts on Sheed LuKe2428? I feel as though he could be a solid contributor at AFL level, no frills type of player whereas I see Freeman with the untapped potential to become an absolute brute with genuine pace with his large frame. Would love for Marsh to fall as his X-Factor and unpredictability is brilliant yet he has various flaws that would need to be ironed out over time.
I'd go Sheed>Salem/Freeman
I feel like Sheed and Salem fit FJ's MO over the last few drafts, low risk, no fuss footballer who will be a good 10 year player.
Freeman is a bit more of an explosive X-factor type who can struggle to find the ball on the outside, a little inconsistent.
Freeman I think is a bit of a higher risk higher return type player. Not sure FJ would pull the trigger with our only 1st rounder on a guy like that.
If only we had 2 first round picks, we'd be able to afford taking a gamble on Freeman and then taking a Salem/Sheed type with our other selection.

I think Sheed just does his thing everyweek and you no what you'll get from him. You wont get those freakish goals or anything but good awarness and will get the hardball. Freeman is class, His got great pace, big body so will still get the hardball if needed. Bit like Dangerfield but I dont think he can reach Dangerfields ceiling.

Since losing White, we need leg speed. Was a Sheed and Salem fan but now:

Unless the top 5 drop/slide - Looks like Freeman is the player that suits our needs

Am pretty excited by Freeman's pace. Billy Hartung's combination of pace and super elite endurance could be a good upgrade on the outgoing Matty White.

Think it's time for the Tigers to pull the trigger somewhat in the first round, previous years we have picked up Conca, Ellis and Vlastuin, all brilliant pickups. The upside of Freeman though could see him develop into our version of Paddy Dangerfield, albeit not as good yet still a raging bull with explosiveness paired with a brute like inside game.

I'm torn between Freeman and Lewis Taylor, Taylor IMO is a better all round footballer, it's just the height difference that has me concerned. If Taylor was 10cm taller he'd be top 5. Shame he can't test at combine, he would give the sprint record a shake.

I'm not really a draft watcher, I get my information from phantom drafts and websites.
Francis Jackson has got a good record these past few years. Conca has shown a lot of promise in and under and his good kicking, as has Ellis with his ability to find time and space to run and carry. And Vlastuin has just been a freak. The last time we made a risk was when we chose Martin. What the team lacks is more x-factor, with the most likely loss of Matt White that hinders the overall speed of our team. Foley has lost his speed and Deledio keeps getting tagged with no room to utilize his speed. Dayle Garlett has said that he has cleaned up his act and he really wants to play at the highest level. So why not give him the benefit of the doubt. Just don't let him get anywhere near Dan Connors or Josh Carr.
However, Christian Salem wouldn't be a bad choice because he would effectively be a replacement for Tuck but with better skills and more defensive traits, tackling off the scale and has time and space to dispose of the ball. Would probably teach our other players not to bang it onto the boot whenever they get it *cough* Grigg.
