I wouldn't be against Crouch if the club thought he was the best available at our pick. A kid who is a clearance beast would be a great addition to the side as it might allow Cotchin to spend more time on the outside. However I still want one of the 3 that I mentioned in the first pick thread to give us that outside run that we also need.

Both Conca and Ellis were a bit of a surprise when they were picked - Vlastuin less so last year
So this year, whoever we pick, I'll be rapt - we stand to get a good quality player - Salem, Crouch, Lennon, Sheed
I don't think Ellis was a surprise. A small minority thought he should have gone top ten ahead of the likes of Haynes and would be one they would come to regret later. Not claiming credit either, I bought into UpTheGuts and was on the docherty bandwagon.

My Docherty crush was less intense than my Grigg fandom. I am a bit of a tart like that

Just went back and had a look at the 2011 draft. Meh.
Dees took Sellar one spot before Arnot. Oops

Are you talking Mitch Grigg? If so I share the same love, can't believe he dropped so low, the kid was a footballer, nothing else.

Agreed on Grigg, still smarts we didn't look at him

Not to the same extent but I reckon Sheed could go a bit the same way.

Wish he didn't break his collarbone and was able to play South Australia in the final match, he won the MVP for Division 1 yet felt a bit underwhelmed would have liked to have seen him in that final match. Rumours have been circulating that he might fall due to the lack of explosive pace combined with his perceived one paced nature, would take him in the high teens/low twenties.

I dont think we need to upgrade petterd yet do we ?

When do we find out what picks we get for McWhite combo

Next Friday

be better off having no compo picks at all (a spot on list - that players wage is enough) and back to trade WEEK as it's too long

I'd be rapt if we can get Crouch for a pick that isn't our first. I've seen plenty of young players that have had a knock on their kicking but came into the system and became guns.

Its not his explosive pace thats the problem its just his pace over a long distance.

Acres is growing on me, just hope he doesn't get homesick if we pick him up.
Tall midfielder, good decision maker, good kick, perfect for dimma's team.
