Yeh he deserves credits in the bank from that.Because Bont is the reigning b&f from the reigning premiership team.

I'm just going by his performance last year which was better than Kelly and Merretts. But Bontempelli is only marginally in front of both. Could change by the end of the year that's for sure. Cripps won't leapfrog Bont considering his injury.
It should be on career to date and potential forward.
Bont is actually the best perfomed career to date and also the youngest of all of the players being thrown up. He is also the most versatile and capable of multiple roles.
I can't imagine any recruiting manager who would not pick him 1st from the 2013 list of players.
Incidentally, despite the effort of you and others, Bontempelli has been much better this season than you understand.

Not sure if he's even had the better season. Merrett for instance will have 2 elite seasons by the en of the year compared to the 1 for Bont. Not sure what being marginally younger than any of the others has to do with anything, but you are correct in saying he has had the better career. As such, like you say, recruiters would have him at number 1.
The gap has closed far more than people would've expected in a short time though.
1. Marcus Bontempelli
2. Josh Kelly
3. Zach Merrell
4. Patrick Cripps
5. Matt Crouch
6. Orazio Fantasia
7. Jack Billings
8. Zak Jones
9. Jayden Hunt
10. Dom Sheed
Others close:
Tom Boyd
Kade Koladjasnij
Christian Salem
Luke Dunstan
Dan McStay
Darcy Gardiner
Trent Dumont
Luke McDonald
Tom Barrass
Yep exactly right, the top end is definitely up there and there are some late/rookie gems as well like Brown, Fantasia, Hunt, Cameron, etc. It's a bloody good list. Plenty of 2001 about it.
McDonald is really coming on.
You really want to somehow prove that Bont is an anti footballer. Not sure if he's even had the better season. Merrett for instance will have 2 elite seasons by the en of the year compared to the 1 for Bont.
I've found Bont to be incredibly slow around contests this year, his disposals have also significantly worsensed.
Merrett best performed up to date
Potential wise I think Kelly is the most capable.
Also it's worth noting that it may be unfair to compare Bont with others, as
1. Bont has had his immense frame from the get go, while other skinnier midfielders were always going to take more time.
2. Bont is very much an incomplete midfielder, and I don't think he will ever become a fulltime elite midfielder. His versatility is where his value lies, as he will almost certainly outsize his midfield opponent when he goes forward. He probably will become an inferior midfielder than the likes of Martin/Dusty/Fyfe (So will 99% of other players), but will spend more time up forward.
If I'm being honest I'd still take the bont on 1from that draft. Special talent. Kelly 2 and then Cripps vs merret is a toss up depending on team balance. If I needed an inside bull then Cripps. If I need outside class then merret. Can't lose either way. This bickering is embarrassing though. Enjoy the talent stop having a fruitless pissing contest
Did Bont drive over your dog?Not sure if he's even had the better season. Merrett for instance will have 2 elite seasons by the en of the year compared to the 1 for Bont.

Salem, Hunt and Harmes.McDonald, Dumont and Brown.
I'm happy with that.
Luke McDonald quickly becoming a fine player this season despite some of the unrealistic North fans rankings.
Some of his contest work on the weekend was tremendous.
Dwayne Armstrong?Merrett, Fantasia, Ambrose. Not bad. Fraser Thurlow however was quite possibly the worst player we ever listed.
He was at least passable at the lower level. Thurlow was dropped from the VFL side at one point where we didn't have a fit ruckman.Dwayne Armstrong?
