I beleive he's played one if not two gamesHas he played at all yet ?? I'm wondering if Billy Longer isn't an interesting option should Berger not get up....

Ok, haven't seen him, perhaps he'll be back for the final...
Played last week and also played a strong amount in their intra club about 5 weeks ago. Needs to play NAB4 which i think he will.
I'd heard about the intra-club, but must have missed last week. Cheers...
For argument sake, say Goldy is NOT named for Rd1 and Curry is and Leuy is a Rd1 starter, will you be going with the Luey/Curry combo?

Could end in disaster though, rucks are the area to avoid taking to many risk. Most people wouldve learnt that in the past few years no doubt![]()

Youll have staker coming in relatively early to relieve the fwd rookie stocksEven if Currie starts the year as the number 1 ruckman he will have a lot of pressure to keep his spot. If he gets dropped after 1 or 2 rounds then people will need to swing Cox into the rucks and play their F7, which for me is Macaffer. It then leaves probably Rowe and forward rookie as the only back ups and with no safe selections early on, it's a decent risk. The extra trades help but if no forward rookies step up early in the season (which is looking likely) you could possibly just have two players sitting on your bench doing nothing with no emergency.
I almost always try to save as much cash as possible in the rucks but I don't think I will be going with the curry burger starting combo. For the record I have Zac Smith alongside Leuenburger which is still a risk, just with better JS (and more money spent).

But cox and a dpp is a must cannot run the 2am special (currie and berger) without cox-y for back up and caff on the bench, luckily I have that
Staker is not guaranteed a game guys esp at the lions they have a strong list and with the way Cornelius is playing right now hes cementing his spot and its his to lose up forward, they also have Martin as a nice 3rd tlal forward/RR. They then play 2-3 genuine small forwards as most teams do, Staker doesnt necessarily fit that.
Dont rely on Staker playing in the first 5 or so rounds.
Don't know where he fits into the backline. Maguire, Merrett and Patfull make up our quota of talls and there's a heap of running defenders they are trying to fit in. Vossy has stated he wants Staker to play a connecting role (ie high half forward) between defence and attack. With Bewick, Martin, Karnezis and Cornelius all showing a lot in NAB I'm not sure at all that he'll get into the line up. Keystone is right, definitely do not think Staker is some sort or guaranteed cash cow.I would think Staker will slot back into the backline when fit. Not 100% though, Brisbane supporters will have better knowledge of it. But I do agree that people shouldn't expect Staker back so early in the season. I can't see him being rushed straight back in.
I think there is a decent chance that Leuey and Currie won't play round 1. If it happens it's going to screw a lot of plans and rely on some restructuring.
What would be the best plans in that case? I suppose it depends if any cheap rucks at all are named to play.
