Hargrave was anything but a failure the increased trades allows you to pick improvers. i still wouldve finiahed top 10k and as i said i picked those players for fun as i couldnt finish the year and said i would trade differently becoz of holiday. said before season last year

Hargrave started 2012 really well.

But from my perspective Hargrave was a failure. Maybe that was because I held him for too long? He missed the entire multi bye round period (late withdrawal) and gave me two donuts. He also pumped out some average scores just prior to the multi bye rounds. Hindsight tells me that I should have dumped him after round 7.

Well at least half of it is. He seems like an okay idea though. Keep him for a bit then trade to Berger when necessary and I can't see his average going down.

Outside of Cox, R2 is an interesting proposition this season. It may well be the defining position of 2013. IMO, having some wiggle room in the bank should help alleviate some issues in this position moving forward.

It certainly could be the make or break choice. So many options and the only certainty is I will choose the wrong one.

Cox has to be a lock given Nic Nat's injury. He will sky rocket early on and then look to off laod if people really want. I feel sick even saying that but with 2 trades to use or lose every week people may just trade him in and out all season to make money.. feels like playing the stock market.

Well I guess I can also go Longer and when berger is back, I can trade for him. I don't mind wasting 1 trade. The money I may make when I do the trade could be worth it

Currie/Longer combo? Rowe on the bench & cox in the forwards just so if give u plenty extra $$ to upgrade to a premo elsewhere?

And then when Berger is back, downgrade Longer to Berger then with the profit, use that $$ to upgrade to a maxi premo elsewhere.

I'd argue that Minson is a much more physical ruckman than Jolly though. Martin is a better ruckman for the Lions at the moment anyway, in my opinion.

Fair comments. Martin scored 62 on the weekend, Longer scored 60. Martin averages 63 pts per 100 mins in the pre-season, Longer 62. Martin is 356K, Longer 241K....

He's just one I'm going to watch with interest tomorrow (I think) night...

Definitely worth a watch, I'm just not buying the "Longer is going to be just as good as Leuey" business. In my opinion, 2 premos and premo + rookie are both better options than premo + Longer or Longer + rookie.

If you remove the sub game Longer actually avg 68 last year and scored 74 and 81 in his last 2 games. Small sample, yes.

are you sure - every ruckmen spoken to rated Jolly as the most physical in the comp, ottens was a man mountain and openly said Jolly was the most physical by far. either way i have never and will never pick either, new ruck rules favour ruckman who can also get possessions
