So this is what i understand

5 forwards (i know incl Rockliff and Karnezis)
F6 - Macaffer

F7/F8 - Rowe/Sinclair

R1 - Cox
R2 - Roughead

R3 - Currie
R4 - whoever

??

Cox, Roughy (Currie, 89k)
5 super fwd premo's + PattyK @ F6 (Rowe, Sinclair)

NO Macaffer!

Why not have Macaffer instead of Sinclair, there is no real need for teo dpp ruck players
Macaffer look's to be the best forward rookie this year (staker injured)

I'm just not a Macaffer lover. Massive spud IMHO, I LOL that he is in Collingwoods best 22...really hope he is in their Rd2 team for shits and giggles.

Who cares if he is a spud ( i dont think he is, should avg 60), you were more than willing to select tambling, who is actually a comfirmed spud, based on one season where he averaged 88, 4 years ago whilst playing for a different

Anyways each to their own, your team, was just interested in your reasoning

If you have him @ F6 and you're expecting a 60 average then you really need to have a good hard look at your starting 22.

I did consider Tambling, I will select him @ D5 if he is named in Rd1 and not wearing a vest. If Macaffer ever averaged 89 in his career, then you would have a point. But since he hasn't and is shit IMHO (and injury plagued at that) I'd much rather go with a first year rookie who is named for Rd 1 and costs 30k less than some injury riddled hack who has done jack shit DT wise in his whole career and is borderline best 22 in his team. That's all. :)

I guess that's why i dont have tambling in my team (think he is a massive spud and boderline 22)
Im guessing you have tabling based on his Nab performance, well Macaffer in avg 72 points per 100mins, so i think expecting a 60 average from him is pretty conservative.

I am comfortable with him as my F6, but do have a plan B if it doesn't work out

I think that you are way off base regarding MaCaffer.

He is an important cog in our forwardline. If he can get back to his 2010 form he will go a long way in helping us get another flag this year.

I realise (like everyone else) that there are currently heck all Fwd rooks to choose from, but picking a guy who pretty much hasn't played a game in almost 2 years for F6 is a massive risk, yet most teams here look like doing just that...bizarre. I'd rather play an extra rook on the ground in my mids than start this guy..each to their own though.

That was 2 years ago and Collingwood only lost..what 2 games that whole season? The world has changed considerably since Macaffer averaged 70 odd from a full season where his team only lost 1 H&A game.

Guys let Gingy pick Sinclair, Rowe and not Macaffer

Hes gone from Yarran > Tambling > Armstrong

He will have another 50 different players in his 50 man team by tomorrow

LOL You wish you knew who my final 30 will be.

where'd you finish overall last year mate?

18k or some shit like that. In 5-6 months time though...after I've won the 50k you'll be kissing my arse going...hey man can you spare some change? ...and I'll be like, LOL I'm not giving you Ice money, Wet Coast junkie. :D

Yeh anyways, who else is going for Roughy for Rd1?

It's tempting... I keep leaving 40 - 50k in the bank just in case I need it, but every second iteration of my side seems to end up with nothing.... I'd have to rejig to get Roughie in the side...

Thinking about it...but it forces me to downgrade a mid premo, which i am not all that fond of.

Anyone else think Currie can average just as much, if not more than Longer? I am struggling to decide which 1 to start as ruck 2. Longer makes sense as he is similarly priced to Luey and can be an easy swap, but by starting Currie and ignoring Longer, i can improve my team in other areas.

Tough one! Guess it all comes down to how Longer plays this week and if he convinces me or not.

Good luck with Longer guys, there is no way that I'll be starting with a 20 year old ruck though.
