Just read article about Mitch Brown. We need to make a play for him and Nathan. Would b awesome Kpd spine.

What would it take to get both

N.Brown for Stanley & pick 2nd round downgrade?

M.Brown for free if possible otherwise 3rd rounder?

Think we need to go hard for these 2 as both want to play together. Collingwood need a ruck/fwd. They would love Stanley.
Mitch Brown is useless, if you can't even handle Jesse White i doubt you could even handle a Cloke, Franklin, Hawkins etc.. Complete spud would rather no full back then chase him again.

M.Brown's last 3 or 4 weeks have been disappointing, would prefer to offer Lachie Hansen a 3 yr contract & lock him in as our CHB..
Hansen's an odd one. Magnificent with intercept marks, but struggles when forced to actually match up on someone ala a KPD's 'hard tag'... Also has a pretty ordinary injury history from memory, particularly concussion - he's missed a game this year and I seem to recall there being a question mark over whether he should continue playing a couple of years ago. Then again, he's averaging 14.2 possessions and 7.7 marks this year, is 25 in a month, 197cm and 98kg. So straight into the XVIII if we get him.

Still, would much rather him, a Sully/Shepheard etc., and throwing the kitchen sink at Ben Reid next year than the Brown brothers.

I mentioned him earlier, but if we get the chance, we should snare Hugh Beasley from the Oakleigh Chargers. He's the traditional KPD, checks his man and doesn't give him any room. He should be a late pick so I doubt we would lose much taking the punt.

Taylor Adams having a good game against the Dons, highlighted by TEN clearances late in the third qtr..

Can we turn a blind eye to his to his liking for the snow season, could be just a bum steer to turn other clubs off..!
Apparently that is a BS rumour that the club is aware of.

I think everyone's over reacting to Browns form. Lets not forget he's just started putting consecutive games together this season. He probably hasn't had a full injury free pre-season since being drafted and we have to take in the want to come home factor that is probably effecting his form. They all form slump when their not sure if their staying or going.
Lets not crucify him just yet. Any one remember taking notice of Roberton's form last year?
Browns got a lot going for him. But the most important thing is that, he's a proper full back. He's not a CHF / FB convert. He's not a ruckman / full back. I would definitely take him over an untried VFL defender.
When we take him this year and he turns out to be exactly what we need next season.
I'm so going to splash these boards with 'I told ya so!'

Hugh Beasley (Oakleigh Chargers)
Beasley was the best defender on the ground. He was rarely beaten in contested situations against his opponent, and at times also spoiled to the advantage of his team mates. Comfortably holding Western Jets utility Mark Orr at bay, Beasley was also able to take a couple of strong intercept pack marks. His skill by foot is something that he needs to improve on but his defensive qualities can’t be knocked
That's a bit concerning... I know I've asked this before, but how tall is he?

EDIT: Found him. 190cm and 87kg according to the Vic Metro squad list. He'd want to grow a bit; I understand Darcy Gardiner might be up around the 195cm mark now, any chance Beasley's had a growth spurt too?

Make that a lot.
I'm not sure if its known that Gardiner has grown either, other than people speculating that he may still be growing. ( I knew kids at school who were massive, but they pretty much stopped at 16 ).

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if either Melbourne beat North, or especially Western Bulldogs beat West Coast, this week (both at Etihad).

Or not.
Yeah i give the Dogs a chance in that game, West Coke aren't exactly playing good footy.. Don't give Melbourne a chance against North though.. Surely, just surely North won't lose that lol.

I know the whole no dickheads policy but how good would it be having Dayle Garlett and Ahmed Saad upfront at the feet of Lee and White for the next 10 years. Did someone say X-factor?
According to Jay Clark we were into him last year, maybe IF he has his off field crap finished we would be even more interested. Never been any doubt about his talent just his off field stuff

He's grown. No doubt about it. He looks and plays taller than the listed 190cm. In regards to his foot skills, yeah he isn't a great user of it, but that shouldn't be an issue as I don't see him getting much of the ball at AFL level.
