Does anyone think that we could get a deal done into R1 involving a pick swap?

Something like Pick #24 & Pick #25 to:
- Fremantle: Pick #17 & Pick #55
- Richmond: Pick #12 & Pick #50
- Sydney: Pick #15 & Pick #39

Assuming we get Delaney and Bruce we actually dont need 4 picks under 25. We want 3 within 20.
The other 2 we use from R4 onwards can be used on Curren and Ferguson upgrades.

Pelch better pull a ladyboy out of a hat in the next week..
At this stage the "aggressive trading" is slightly the wrong way..
I think that is a bit harsh sheez.

We flicked Mac and Dal for players and picks. Tried to offload Fish.

Went for Melbournes pick #2 only to be swooped by GWS.

I think they have been aggressive and I reckon there are some more trades to come with the QLD teams.

Already got 3 under 20. We have exchanged our 2nd round pick for hawks pick 18 in the Mac deal.

I like your general idea.

I would delist Ferg with Delaney and Bruce coming in.

I love that now instead of thinking which one do we pick, Cripps? Dumont? Crouch? Now we can pick two or three of them and have a pick for the inevitable slider. This should really set us up, nice work Pelican.

Let's go class with pick 3 and just out and out ball winning with the next few, as long as they can kick there shouldn't be an issue. Midfield = sorted.

It will heat up next week, there will be at least a dzn trades & i'm confident we'll end up with another top 15 pick..

I still get the feeling that Crouch will go top 10. I'm pretty sure Melbourne are going to go with either Crouch, Freeman and Bontempelli.

Also wouldn't mind having a serious look at Jonathan Marsh at our lateish first rounders if he is available. He has elite speed (was in the top two for the speed and agility tests in the Combine from memory), and has played previously in the midfield, but more CHF this year. Has that X-Factor for sure.

Want that pick around 10-14.... Trade off 2 picks in that 18-25 range for 1 pick a lot earlier

Just gimme:
Pick 3 - Aish/Billings
Pick 11 - Freeman/Bontempelli
Pick 19 - Dumont
Can't see it happening. We're going for quantity of top 25 picks, not necessarily quality. If anything we could bundle 41, 59 and a player for another top 20 pick.

I got in my parents car after being boundary umpire for the Dookie Utd 2nds game that day and heard we were so far up at half time it shouldn't have been lost.

We lost.

I finished a golf match approaching half time with the full intention of jumping in the car and watching the second half. Heard the radio, and felt we were far enough in front not to bother o_O

Noticed this on SaintSational;

Swap not happening but later swap is, big woop. Swings the deal back in Hawks favour imo. Pick 19 vs 24 is a big deal when you look at this draft. We will still end up with potentially a good player like Cripps, but no chance of a slider like Acres or Dumont with 24.

I'd be happy to go with either 4 x top 25 or 3 x top 20.
Essentially depends on target players in the draft I guess.

No offence Munga but IMO 41 & 59 would be unlikely to get anything inside top 30 really let alone top 20.
Again, I guess it depends on the other teams strategy if they have a couple of players in mind or mature agers in mind and need another pick. Anything is possible.

I'm well aware that's what 'we', being StKilda, are probably doing. But I, as in me, want what I have written above.

If GWS want to play really hard for Bruce, I'd offer them pick 18 for Bruce, 21 & 22

Leaving us with picks 3, 21, 22, 24, 25... I'd then use 24,25 as a package to hunt Collingwood's pick 11

Picks 3, 11, 21, 22 sounds fantastic
