You know what Sheeza, I agree with you. A good trade for Adams, poach Brown thru the PSD, trade for another tall KPD (Griffiths, Keefe, Frost etc), maybe a free agent mid. Take Boyd/Crouch/Dunstan. We really need to further fix the holes in the list with 23-27 year olds. It will give the 17-21 year olds a much more stable base to come thru on

+1 :thumbsu: on the proviso we keep our 1st pick for Boyd/Crouch/Dunstan/Aish etc

Pretty bloody hard to see that happening, but Jesus what a boost that would give us... Lets say (we can hope) we get Boyd, Keeffe, Brown and Adams as of next year, and (sadly) lose Hayes, Milne, Koschitzke, Fisher and Blake; with age, height and weight in brackets:

FB: Wright (20, 185, 77) // Brown (25, 196, 95) // Simpkin (24, 191, 92)
HB: Roberton (23, 194, 88) // Keeffe (24, 204, 102) // Dempster (30, 191, 87)
CR: Montagna (30, 178, 78) // Armitage (26, 183, 87) // Geary (26, 183, 82)
HF: Siposs (22, 190, 90) // Riewoldt (31, 193, 96) // Saunders (20, 180, 78)
FF: Saad (24, 175, 78) // Boyd (18, 199, 102) // Stanley (23, 200, 96)
RK: Hickey (23, 201, 94) // Steven (24, 180, 79) // Adams (20, 179, 84)
Int: Webster (21, 188, 78) // Dal Santo (30, 185, 85) // Newnes (21, 184, 81) // Ross (21, 187, 86)
Em: Murdoch (20, 188, 80) // Saunders (20, 180, 78) // McEvoy (25, 200, 103) // Gilbert (24, 194, 92)

Ave age: 23.6
Ave ht: 188.7cm
Ave wgt: 87.2kg

Mmmmmmm... Exciting.

All the more reason to throw up a few of our million half backs. We need at least two key defenders this offseason which doesn't leave much room for all of Fisher, Gwilt, Roberton, Dempster, Gilbert, Wright, Stanley if he goes back. Throw in Dunell as well.

It we add Brown + Keefe/Griffiths etc, Stan could move forward and play the forward/ruck role and we could add another midfielder...instead of playing 2 rucks who can't go forward.

Imagine Fish marshaling Brown, Keefe, Roberton, Dempster, Wright and Gears!

Is it asking too much for GWS to accept Gwilt or Gilbert, & our second rd pick (21/22) for Adams..
Depends on the go-home factor. If its strong, and he's gonna walk into the PSD, they'll trade him for a deal like that...having said that, I don't think Gwilt would get it done. Simpkin? Armo?

Haha it could be a win/win!! Would love to get Adams here as well as say a Dunstan (assuming Boyd is gone). Don't know if the current players mentioned would go for it though....

Yep via trade but you have to promote them to your senior list.
Sounds easy enough, but, needless to say, if this kid on Collingwood's rookie list is any good, he surely would have been at least tried by now. It's not like he's a raw, stick thin kid like Lever. Sure, Collingwood have a dearth of KPD's, but that would only count for so much.

Do you mean glut? If it was a dearth of them he'd have no chance.

Gilbert & Gwilt would be a worth a pick around 25-30..Maybe throw in a third rd pick ( 40- 42), especially if Adams walks into the PSD & GWS risk losing him for nothing..

But a talent like Adams won't come that cheap i reckon, every Victorian club will be chasing him..
Don't be surprised if Adams is part of the Franklin trade..??

I would be surprised. Isn't franklin a restricted free agent?

Hypothetically, if your club was chasing Adams, letting him go into the PSD would be a bad idea. Melbourne will unfortunately be all over him.
