Ash Smith - not sure if he will be keen to leave, but any guesses on his value if he does?

He polarises Eagles' fans, with many not thinking he's worth much.

Cheers for any responses, even if you reckon he's not worth a spot on your list.

And a general comment - instead of r3/4 pick etc, I think it's more useful to use numbers, such as pick 50-60 or 40-50 etc.

I can't see WCE trading a top ten pick for Yarran. Much better off going to the draft.

Yarran would land you a late first at best IMO
I agree with this.

In saying that though, if all thats on offer is a pick which is late first round (say 19ish), I'd rather we kept Yarran and persisted with him.

We won't be able to land one of the premium talls in this draft with that pick (partly because there are none in this draft).

I'd back Mick to try and get the best of Yarran, because his ability showcases that he has the talent to be better than anyone that may be available at 19 - who knows, he may have an awesome 2014 and up his value in a draft where there are better (or more) decent KPP on offer.

The downside though is that he will be out of coming out of contract this time next year, so it would need to be a very calculated risk.

4th rounder IMO, but I like him. Prone to brainfades, but he has caught my eye with his pace and long kicking, maybe it's the hair and the tatts that make him stand out.

I see him more as a winger than a defender though, his defensive skills aren't that developed, is that fair comment?

Seems fair, albeit a bit unbalanced with the ins and outs (not the content, but the amount of player movements). GWS cant take on 3 additional players, they dont have the list space....and I cant see carlton participating in any trade that ensures Boyd goes somewhere else.

That's the perfect summary. He's ok as a spoiler in contests, but is useless in contested situations.

But come to think about it i think he's contracted so would need to be a pick we'd use. So basically better than our third round pick which would be around 45ish or else we'd just keep him.

Wouldn't be upset if we gave up our early 3rd rounder for him, reunite him with Koby :p

Crameri according to Essendon fans "looked disinterested" in the VFL on Saturday, has delayed contract talks and the Bulldogs have made a bigger offer with 1 extra year.

Reasonably solid addition to a "rumour" file at least
Talk from maryborough is big offers & he is gone. Not sure where
