often the sub, but only needs to get 17 possessions and can kill a team. would make a very dangerous small forward, it is just Hird and Bomber like defensive players compared to the real aggressive players like Colyer, so will need to learn how to defend better.
Warning signs there for me. We have a history of one way runners, and already have Blease on the books. Sounds very similar, apart from the ability to get 17 touches....

after the Essendon game your teams supporters were the worst I have ever seen. I felt for your players and your poor coach at the time.
sod off mate, dont judge us on our board, if dons ever go through what this mob has gone through then you can judge, to boo a player constantly is bollocks and completely different

We lost by 148 points. Do you expect us to sing and dance down Brunton Avenue?

On the Essendon players - as long as we've done our due diligence then I'm not too worried.

I've always rated Colyer, really fit and quick (strongest player at Essendon pound for pound too) - his kicking can be brilliant or a shank - suggests he needs more opportunity at AFL level to iron that out.

Myers would be great, fantastic kick and a big body - Roos would look at him for the midfield, our 2nd rounder would get it done considering the Bombers draft sanctions.

Zaharakis is a good player but certainly not worth pick 2 of course... For a start he is fairly injury-prone, last year was wrecked with calf and hammy injuries and this year hasn't been a heap better.
I think you would find if Zaka wanted out Essendon would probably settle for Melbourne's second round pick.

Apparently Viv Michie is as good as done - Roos and Lyon have a good relationship (and have traded well in the past) so I imagine a 3rd rounder would be about right.
Happy with this if true, plenty of praise for him coming out of the purple camp.

Manager of Colyer and Myers on TRW - indicated that Colyer is in discussion with "a club" and will make a decision soon.

Myers is keen for midfield time, sounds like he's seriously considering a move.

It's players like these two who will see Roos as a coach they really want to play under, guys who are trying to make their way.

I don't mind Colyer, I remember watching him in the 18s and thinking he would be a great pickup. Hasn't really come on though. Couldn't do worse than some of the players on our list but I wouldn't want to pay much for him. He's from the same draft year as Trenners so he's probably only one quiet year away from getting delisted - should be able to get a deal done with a trash pick, ideally.

Not sold on Myers - he's tall but I wouldn't call him a big body. He might want to play in the midfield but that doesn't mean he's particularly good there.

I'd take Zak Jones over either of them and cross the fingers that he'll take after his big brother.
