Is pick two for Shuey and Shepperd a chance?

2 for Shuey and 7, the Eagles won't touch...
For me shuey alone isn't worth any deal involving 2. What we have is the capability of paying well overs in salary which will attract some players. Just a matter of getting a deal done. If a player says they want to go then 8/10 times a club will yield.

The eagles might be one of those clubs that doesn't yield, see Mitch brown last year

Would Weagles do Pick 9 (from possible Adams trade) and Pick 20 something (after FA compo) for Shuey?
No.

He is contracted. Shuey has said he is going nowhere. His manager has said he is going nowhere. The club has said he is going nowhere.

Just the media floating internet rumors, to fill space.

Nah, he wants to stay. He has made it abundantly clear. Also, WC will back themselves to get him to sign a contract extension before the end of 2015 and keep him on the list.

They trade fairly and will work with players at the end of a contract to facilitate an equitable move, but are happy to retain talent till that time.

Fair enough too. You are probably the first opposition supporter to come on here and not try and flog off an early 2nd rounder for pick 2. Cheers.

Take it for what it's worth, don't really trust these AFL Facebook 'rumour' pages suggesting trades, blah blah.

But AFL News and Trade Rumors have said: Melbourne's pick 2 and 21 for Shuey and pick 6.

Good/bad trade?
Bad trade for WC and one which won't happen.

We would do that trade in an instant! That would be the best scenario ever but not even a slight chance of happening!

About fair for both i reckon. Means we will have pick 6 and a 2nd rounder (syvlia) and about pick 40ish for our third rounder. Thats 3 good picks i think

Ridiculously one-sided in our favour. I really don't see much difference with what's available in the draft between picks 2 and 6. Ultimately it's Shuey for pick 21 which is laughable.

Yeah, agreed. I can't see us getting that deal done.
